Did the broken windows on CyberTruck cause more publicity?

suggesting it was done for the exact above reasons :-)

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Just from my perspective if there is any upgrades in the future it would be a pleasant surprise, but I'm not entirely sure the few that have gone for the 150kW version are buying hoping that will happen, as it probably just as likely won't. Those that want the standard longer range are buying...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Good point, it could also work in reverse that so small is the market why not let them upgrade, as disruption to main target sales is negligable? I potter about Vancouver/Deep Cove/Horseshoe Bay then occasionally Squamish and Whistler and Vancouver Island,150km is fine for me and gets me into a...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Thanks, be cool to hear/read of anyone with this unicorn 150km version has indeed exceeded 150km in actual range. My S75 AP1 RWD (now sold to move here from Europe) had 225miles range normally, but on a really sunny day and cruising behind trucks etc driving really conservatively managed, once...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Yes did notice that, so its just Tesla new way of describing their capacities via range, lol what's the 150km version called short range :-)
  6. Dan43

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Thanks. So in theory if capped to 39% charge in very good weather and Granny driving you could exceed 150km range? Broadly correct??
  7. Dan43

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

It's rated range so same as battery capacity. That is to say 150km in summer and less in winter. Thats interesting, if I hear you right then why didn't Tesla give a Kw rating (thus mileage dependant on weather etc) instead of the 150Km (93 miles) range, implying guaranteed 150km whatever the...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Exactly and if my rough maths is correct $44,995 plus 12% Tax minus the $8K rebates leaves about an out the door price around $42,500 very roughly speaking. Plus I'm prepared to take the risk of future upgrade paths, if appropriate and needed if they do become available, say 2-3 years down the...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

I'm going to speak to the local Vancouver dealer and pick this up, see what I can do I'm back thinking this will be just ideal for my use and needs, and wallet :-)
  10. Dan43

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Like others have mentioned the SR- could be just the answer to gain a M3 and keeping a range that suits my daily needs (downtown Vancouver) After incentives the price is attractive, to me, and gets me in a M3 at the cheapest purchase point. I am still considering this version and it is a...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

I'd like to know also as I am still tempted, but do see the arguments against I'd be hoping for a future battery/range unlock option in a year or so.
  12. Dan43

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

New Mini e range reported to be 160km, similar price after incentives of 150km Model 3 ;-)
  13. Dan43

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

I've thought about this 150km version, mainly due to small range requirements and $10K savings, after TAX/rebates I think it comes in at $41,488 (if maths are correct) or $51,488 for the SR+ version.

    UK used Tesla Marketplace

For the UK try Richard Symons in Hampshire, totally on the case and a great selection of used vehicles. Google his site, highly recommended. R Symons Ltd

Are Canadians still getting Model 3s right now?

Same here, I was told the finance can match the same length of time I have left on my VISA Credit Card, so 2/3 years, with large deposit, and this would secure finance? How true this is I don't know. I was told to go through the finance but a refund will be given if refused, taking 10 working...

The "Federally compliant for incentive" Tesla

Going to Vancouver Store on West 4th see what the deal is with the cheaper version. I'm kind of still ok with it, and maybe I am taking a gamble a future upgrade will be unlocked say SR+. But why not do that anyway now, well I don't have full PR as yet so my loan will be 2/3 years (underwriters...
  19. Dan43

The "Federally compliant for incentive" Tesla

Yes I've looked at them all over an over again, I'm still not sure what to settle for. Maybe just wait. I found S used to be still quite high price wise, probably just go for the SR+ in the end, but no harm checking options. I'm fully aware that 150km is not what 99.9% of people here want, but...

The "Federally compliant for incentive" Tesla

I hear ya, I'm just weighing up the options like anyone would, but I dunno, I'm mighty tempted to take a plunge. I have spent a year on Car2Go so having a car is something, but maybe once I chat to the sales team I'll make a different decision.
  21. Dan43

The "Federally compliant for incentive" Tesla

This what I am thinking, might be worth the punt, I am downtown Vancouver so 150km is plenty for me, and gets me a Model 3 at a pretty low in price, then see if say in 1 year the upgrades get made available, or just have a car that has lower range. Think the base car would be $41,685 after...
  22. Dan43

The "Federally compliant for incentive" Tesla

Agree and thats the initial gamble it seems, and the car would be fairly worthless if re-sale was a consideration down the road, surely upgrades to range, Autopilot, FSD etc would become available, its all income in the end and at a premium as an after sale purchase, still thats what I was told...
  23. Dan43

The "Federally compliant for incentive" Tesla

So in theory then the $44,999 Model is redundant as it is just a paper version so the rebates can be qualified and used, or could you buy the $44,999 version if you wanted it? I was told buy the $44,999 version but the car will be locked at 150km during entire ownership, no future range upgrade...

EAP to FSD cost in canada

I see $6,600 as upgrade to FSD cost online config, EAD is included in the newer cars. New cars have HW3 I believe too.
  25. Dan43

New Model 3 purchase with new FSD board/chipset?

Private sales, autotrader and leasebusters are just too much, so much cheaper US side (different market granted)
  26. Dan43

New Model 3 purchase with new FSD board/chipset?

or a used Model S but they still seem quite pricy here in Vancouver to me? Cheapest S is $55,600 85 kWh Model S 5YJSA1H12EFP50405 | Tesla Canada

New Model 3 purchase with new FSD board/chipset?

Hi, Owned and sold (to move here) a Model S75 refresh but now getting into buying a Model 3. Looking at the threads interesting to see timescales and so forth for delivery. Looking at the standard range plus, metallic grey with the 19" sport wheels. Does the new car come with the enhanced new...

    2016 Model S 75D (refresh) - Toronto, Canada

GLWTS, this would be right up my street (I owned a 75RWD AP1 in UK) for my new job/place in Canada but the prices seem to have held really well for used, especially non CPO with no warranty, Canadian used prices to me seem a bit high, but I would say that as I want to buy. Waiting for base...

New version of model 3... mid range

I might be tempted with this Model and price, loan via Tesla seems expensive mind so if I can find a car loan cheaper I think I might bite on this one :-)

    Canada - 2017 Model X 75D for sale

Thanks, yes I was just using the US pricing for comparison, appreciate the heads up, and also US market differences, just BC pricing seems quite high to me, but I'm looking weekly for that killer deal :) A used Blue X60D has dropped today to $89,990 from $97,750 via used dealer not CPO.

Vendor Tesla continues to add more New/Inventory cars for sale

Still not much Canadian product getting through :-(

    Canadian Roadster for sale

Ohhh I'd so love to buy this, just out of my price range, aren't they always :-) Good luck with the sale.
  33. Dan43

    Canada - 2017 Model X 75D for sale

I've been looking for over 6 months for CPO or used/open market but the prices are still very strong in BC/Vancouver for me and there isn't a lot of inventory or CPO stock at all, well compared to the US certainly which seems to have its own eco bubble for pricing There is a 70D with AP1.0 for...

Leased Model S 100D (AWD, Midnight Silver, White Interior) - Vancouver, Canada

Nice work, I sold my S75 RWD AP1 refresh 2016 car (got it for a great deal from Tesla originally) for the same I paid for it, 14 months later (sold to move for new job). I'm looking for a used S or X in Vancouver, but used prices seem quite strong to me, but to be fair it is all relative. Glad...

Leased Model S 100D (AWD, Midnight Silver, White Interior) - Vancouver, Canada

Oh nice, actually thats good to hear with all the other offers being seemed as low. Any chance you are happy to let us know the ballpark, so interesting trying to gauge private and CPO and then dealer pricing on used Tesla. Good to hear mind :-)
  36. Dan43

Thinking of selling my Model X

I'm looking for a used X or S (I had an S75 RWD before) but find the pricing of used Tesla in BC/Vancouver too much for me at the moment. If anyone was looking for a private sale to negotiate and chat about I'd be keen to start the emails and try, but its a tricky game finding the right seller...

AWDs on the way to Canada?!?

Nice I see a few M3s Downtown Vancouver and about, I'm waiting for base model so fingers crossed for early 2019 for me.

    Inventory drop online

If correct looks like a few inventory cars have dropped online right now for those looking, biggest range of cars I have seen for sale for a long while :) 22 cars.

    S60 inventory $48,400

Latest lists 3 gone last day or so :-)
  44. Dan43

    S60 inventory $48,400

Yes 2 or 3 have moved on, I was very tempted but must admit as to that 60 would have been worth in 1-2 years time. Price history showed it was $49,500 last year with 50Kish km then only $48,500 with 100K+ km, still $47,100 is the cheapest CPO I have been to dat, another S60 2014 AP1 was listed...
  45. Dan43

    S60 inventory $48,400

Take a look now the used market is fairly pricey, I've been looking for ages and the prices are just too steep I feel, with the 12% added etc which I'm still not used to being from UK originally :-)
  46. Dan43

    S60 inventory $48,400

Just seen this thought I would let others take a look.

New to Vancouver - please forgive the newbie question

I'm doing the same and see the same thing, cars start at a certain price and drop almost daily by $1K wish until sold, the last one went today for $75,000 started at over $82,500 if I recall. But after adding 12% plus other fees it gets expensive even so. I'm still not used to how cars are sold...

Realistic Timeline for 35k base Model 3

C$45K plus 12% sales tax plus local tax plus other Canadian charges (delivery, etc etc) the rebate at C$5K which doesn't really cover the 12% its not cheap cheap really, plus EAP is probably a minimum in most respects. So the car is looking like about C$50K plus probably :-)
  50. Dan43

Realistic Timeline for 35k base Model 3

:-) I'm so close almost daily to jump on a Model 3 now, but I'm going to hang fire for the base SR version I think.
