I had read somewhere this summer that Tesla also switched to microcontrollers to deal with some of the chip shortage issues, so now there are likely even more hw/sw variants that need to be accommodated and accounted for (with likely quality differences) in releases.

Do you have to be in "park" to enable car wash mode? I went to try this at the car wash and it was grayed out, and didn't want to fiddle with it so did my car wash the old-fashioned way. Noticed when I had my car parked at home that the feature was available.

It would be nice if Tesla actually spent some manpower working on things like this--a safety issue--vs. things like car wash mode which are just fancy macros.

15 months and only 4,570 miles (Lol...thanks pandemic) on my LR VIN 24XX. I've had so many stupid little issues along the way, but this is by far my favorite car I've ever owned... including my late 2001 Trans Am with T-tops. Every time I step on the accelerator, I smile. It's a friggin' blast.

Get a Y. It will keep working for you through whatever phase of life you happen to be in. Great car. Much more utility than a 3.

My Y rides very nice on the 20" inductions. It rides softer than my friend's 3 with 19" sports.

Just FYI- Service acknowledged that engineering is working on a fix for the rear middle seat rattling, and they would update me and fix it once a solution is identified.

They've created a few on mine too. Today they are replacing a piece of interior trim that they scratched while trying to fix the seat, and whenever the collision shop opens up for non-essential repairs they'll be paying for some door jamb paint repair they scuffed up as well.

My Y is currently in service now for the 3rd time for the middle seat rattle. They replaced the back, then they made some adjustment to the headrest, but so far no permanent solutions. It's at its worst when the headrest is fully down and the cup holder/armrest is in the stowed position. Rattles...

I got a phone quote from Progressive for $545 vs Ameriprise $822, and that's without bundling on the Progressive quote. Shop around, people. My Allstate quote was higher than Ameriprise.

I just tried it with my shoe because I'm not as brave as you. It compressed the shoe a bit--didn't appear to be forceful--and stopped. Didn't pop back up / reverse, but did release the pressure and I could move it manually.

My ameriprise experience was not good, WAY more expensive than my grand cherokee priced similarly. More like $800 for 6 months. But I am in MI so our rates are murder. But 2017 Grand Cherokee... $541. Wife's 2019 Tahoe: $656. Model Y: $822. I'll be shopping around.

Lots of goofy stuff has happened to me. My passenger pillar camera stopped working, my phone stopped working, some other crazy things. A reboot has fixed everything each time. I think there are a lot of software bugs still to be ironed out.

I had this problem and figured out that you can adjust it. Pull the little handle on top and push it back a little, and it will click into proper place.
