Sadly I mistakenly assumed Tesla would have some form of this as their warranty is robust normally. I would understand if this was for the original stock tires that came with it - but not standing by tires that are half a year old feels very scummy.
Either way, being able to have a conversation...
It's still there, they only got to it this morning since it happened later last night.
But he said 2mm on the back tires, 5 on the front. either way, I've bought one tire already (and rim for 1300) so I'll need 3 other close matching ones. I'm just worried that the one I bought now is another...
Just to update...
Sounds like it was a normal flat, and the pulling into the parking lot shredded it in that way. The rim is damaged as well so it's $1300 or so to fix. Fine - it sucks a lot. This particular tire issue aside, what I'm dealing with now is that they're saying that my tires are...
I normally wouldn’t go first party, but Tesla stuff is so different because you can’t go anywhere for service. So I decided to keep it in house (I was in for unrelated service when they sold me on new tires. It was already in the shop)
It feels like Tesla should mention that they don’t offer that when spending two grand on tires. So the lesson learned is don’t buy tires at Tesla, which seems backwards to me.

Ordered a 14-50 adaptor yesterday.
got multiple confirmation emails, followed by a tracking number this morning with a delivery scheduled Friday. They have amped up the service!
I had a 2013 Kia Optima EX.
Truecar, Cars.com and Vroom offered $6500.
Tesla offered $5000.
Then I hit up Carvana and they paid my $8300 for it. I was blown away. Definitely recommend Carvana.
The 2PM pick up time was not good for my schedule. Kids birthday party and stuff.
So I called to try and get it earlier on Saturday and they said it was available TODAY! Heading over in 3 hours.
I don’t know how it is everywhere but in Nevada, you get a paper placard from the dealer that gives you a month or so to register for plates properly at the DMV.
I only have limited experience but you order online and then a few days later you get a text saying “we will be building your car within 10 days” and then 12 days later you get another text saying “we will be building your car within 7 days”
Not sure what’s next.
