Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
So I called in at Flint Supercharger today. Two non Teslas charging, both with “wrong side” charger location on their cars meaning 2 vehicles using up 4 chargers. Other 4 occupied, so unable to charge. A glimpse of the shape of things to come. Oh joy.
I would be interested to hear the observations of anyone who regularly drives both Model S and Model Y in terms of how the ride comfort and cabin noise for each compares.
In particular how well suited is the Y for long road trips compared to the S from the point of view of cabin noise and ride...
Octopus have just invited me to renew my tarriff. Some huge increases in cost.
Current Tarriff: Standing 25.00p, Day 14.63p/kw, Night 5p/kw
New Tarriff: Standing 23.58p, Day 22.00p/kw, Night 14p/kw (Flexible Octopus)
This means the cost of putting 30kw into your vehicle overnight...
It seems the Model 3 prices to order new have increased by around £2.5k. Inventory vehicles also seem to have this increased price tag (but then have been discounted by £2.5k). So if you are thinking or ordering I think you possibly need to get a move on.
I have recently been on there so many times putting together so many configurations. So many choices, choices, and more choices it's bewildering.
Porsche and Tesla are literally different ends of the spectrum.
Typically after you have saved your Porsche configuration you remember that one item...
My understanding is there may be no new Model S's available in the UK for pretty much all of 2021.
If that is correct then surely the 2nd hand prices are going to be pushed up with a potential S 'shortage'?
What do you think?
Anyone else suffer from this issue?
As you will see the footwells can get as hot as 50 degrees C or more.
Not noticed it on my M3P, but a disturbingly large number of people in the comments on his YT video suggest this is fairly common. Going to try to check it out on our Model 3. Link to...
I'm viewing a (Tesla) vehicle 200 miles away from me and am having a so called "live viewing" which presumably involves the garage facetiming (or something like that) the vehicle to me.
Any suggestions for asking them to show me - particularly in the on screen information? Thanks.
In the old days it was easy to spot the distinct shape of the Model S daytime running lights.
I've noticed the new Ford Focus daytime running light has a virtually identical shape signature so I'm often thinking a Model S is approaching only to be dismayed to see a Ford Focus.
Anyone else...
An ongoing discussion with my daughter in the Mead household has been "dad how much would it cost to add me to mums M3P insurance?" As she's about to turn 23, and I noticed on the "Young Tesla Drivers" thread that Churchill will allow 23 year olds on policies I thought I would get on...
To put this in context, I have owned my Model S for 2 years, and we have recently acquired a M3P for Mrs Mead. Had to go to Scotland last weekend, and as my S had a puncture, I had to take the M3P.
Now I completely accept that what ultimately unfolded was of my own making, but the contrast in...
I have seen these on the RPMTesla site. Considering buying them. Does anyone have any experience of them - installed them?
If yes then were they really easy to install?
How do they look - picture if you can please?
Happy with their effectiveness?
Any issues with speedbumps in the cases of the...
