    2022 Shipping Movements

Hi again. Would you that you have ever seen a ship unload RHD Model Y in Zeebrugge for further transfer, that did not call in Southampton? Another question: how do you know that Theben took over Grand Pavo's itinerary? It's just that if you look at Wallenius Wilhelmsens schedules something odd...

    2021 Shipping Movements

Order holders have had their cars confirmed to be on Glovis Splendor. It might simply be a fuel stops. Multiple of the other ships this quarter has made Middle East/Africa stops, that on the face of it made no sense in relation to Tesla.

    2021 Shipping Movements

*"will be". Probably to be loaded, not currently onboard, as the ship has yet to go to port in Shanghai - but that's a slight detail

This is a shipping thread. I think there's other threads better suited for your question 👍

    2021 Shipping Movements

With via Bremerhaven I simply meant a ship will do a stopover in Bremerhaven - no Teslas will be loaded or unloaded there. It's simply a stop to load and/or unload other brands.

    2021 Shipping Movements

Unloading is usually done within 2 days - they are efficient. They sit dockside less than 2 week - as this is usually the timeframe within which they will be delivered to customers from unload. N.B. port operations are kept under wraps with loads of security - with good reason: each shipment of...

    2021 Shipping Movements

Twist: I'm one of Franco Mossotto's sources 😁 😉 (& vice versa) and often DM with him about ship movements - as I track these ships over on Twitter. I also sometimes supply info to Mr. Miserable (& vice versa). That's why I ask: because both often have no more info than I do, so when I see them...

That would increase the probability exponentially, yes. Thank you.

What's the proof that she is carrying Model 3 from China to the UK - other than departure and arrival ports?

    2021 Shipping Movements

How do you determine it's a chartered ship? No other port calls along the way between Shanghai & Zeebrugge (or Southampton for RHD)?
  15. M

    2021 Shipping Movements

Question: when you look at ships' likelihood of transporting Tesla cars do you compare ships chartered ships to ships on scheduled service. I'm just asking as you are betting on RCC Africa and not Tugela - is that a case of chartered vs. scheduled? Addition: I see it on my schedule source too...

GRANDE TEXAS? What's the confirming word on your end that it's bringing Tesla cars (source) ?

"she also has Model 3s on board" How do you know? What port did she load them at?
  18. M

    2021 Shipping Movements

And Horizon Leader is set to arrive on March 1st on the Zeebrugge port schedule - should be in the 14th-16th Feb. timeframe . Something is, as is not uncommon, a bit wonky with the port schedule there.

VINs and Vehicle Deliveries - where is my car?

Prometheus Leader brought a significant amount of Tesla cars to Norway last week.
  20. M

VINs and Vehicle Deliveries - where is my car?

Not right part of Zeebrugge. She has not unloaded Tesla cars.
  21. M

    2020 Shipping Movements

Nope. Other markets are very important too and a ship has never sailed straight to Norway before. I also don't believe that 2,000 of those onboard Glovis Sun are for Norway. I think that is an exaggeration or very bad guesstimate based anecdotal evidence. People that are hopeful and waiting for...

My revised calculations show the same.

    2020 Shipping Movements

You are damn good! She's moving now, at just about the time you estimated this morning. Update: back to 0.1 knots
  24. M

    2020 Shipping Movements

They don't carry more than 3,500-4,000 Tesla cars. That's an average calculated from # of ships and Tesla registrations made in Europe over the last two years.

    2020 Shipping Movements

You are right. She has made some unusual course changes.

Update: Yes inter-port movement. Surprisingly Lydden is on the move - possibly just inter-port movements.

VINs and Vehicle Deliveries - where is my car?

She will likely arrive both days. She goes on routes that take her to Zeebrugge regularly She is set to arrive on 1/12-2020 and 15/12-2020 in Zeebrugge per UECC themselves.

    2020 Shipping Movements

US spec and Europe spec Model 3 are not the same, some features added for European market: SOS button & CCS port as examples. So a firm no on that. I've actually been in contact with train trackers previously and they have confirmed Model 3 cars crossing the US, so it is a thing.

    2020 Shipping Movements

From Houston, TX, so Gulf Coast. Get there by rail.
  32. M

    2020 Shipping Movements

Model 3 would be loaded. They transport the cars by rail (and possibly truck) all the way from near their factory in Fremont, California: Richmond, CA.

    2020 Shipping Movements

That's not hot news .... that's PIPING HOT NEWS It's nice that the source leaves no doubt about it either stating: "Cargo: Tesla" Good find, I now know how to source that source differently and fruitfully.

    2020 Shipping Movements

Nevermind. I momentarily confused Grand Aurora with Toscana. I've deleted my comment now, it was pointless. Toscana is coming to Southampton after going to Bremerhaven - very likely on non-Tesla business.

    2020 Shipping Movements

That's very interesting, thanks for sharing. Nothing from the East coast to Europe of interest so far, from what I've gathered the last two weeks. That is of course assuming no Tesla-ships will sail straight to Southampton. I've been looking in Newark only. Hoegh Target is sailing Newark -...

    2020 Shipping Movements

They certainly have. None of them are causing me concern. Your buffers are causing curiosity. I'm just wondering what caused the shift from around 12 days to 13-14 days from Panama Anch Pacific to Zeebrugge. Previously I've been "been pretty bang on" with 12 days, so it's simple...
  37. M

    2020 Shipping Movements

Thank you for all the updates. I have noticed, that you seem to have added 1-2 days to the time between a ship arrives at the Panama Canal and arrival in Zeebrugge - up to 13-14 now vs. 12 days previously (what I still use). Is it a seasonal buffer you've added due to possible storms in the...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Yeah, she could have easily moved ahead and stayed in a waiting pattern at Antwerp Anchorage. It looks as if she is moving ahead towards Zeebrugge again now.

    2020 Shipping Movements

Please Mr. Miserable let's keep this cordial. I'm well aware that you knew last week that Glovis Captain was going to Europe. It's just that you then wrote the following "GLOVIS CAPTAIN is anchored in the San Francisco Bay and waiting for Pier 80 to become free. Destination to be determined.."...
  44. M

    2020 Shipping Movements

Glovis Captain is going to Europe, she has tons of port calls in other European ports than Zeebrugge, that fits with arriving in Zeebrugge first

Wrong Dock. It needs to move to Dock #104 before it unloads Tesla cars, from what I know.

This does indeed look promising. Good find on Opal Leader btw!
  49. M

VINs and Vehicle Deliveries - where is my car?

Sorta true and not Opal Leader on is another side of the port channel where it seems a transfer of cars from Triton Ace to it seems less likely than if they were on the same Quay. But, from what I can see: Opal Leader is indeed within the area on which ICO operates. ICO operates part of the car...

VINs and Vehicle Deliveries - where is my car?

Much much much smaller operation in Drammen. Zeebrugge is one of, if not the biggest auto port in the word - it's absolut massive. It's a 25 kilometer drive around the outer perimeter of the port.
