    Trade Android Cable for Lightning

I asked during delivery and they said they didn't have any extras to swap out, and to try asking service. Service said the same thing LOL. I looked into a QI wireless charger, but unless you embed the charger in the rubber mat or below it, your phone will slide down through the gap between the...

    Imprint on Dash

Just noticed there seems to be some sort of imprint on the dash. I picked my 3 up 2 weeks ago. Looks like residue from a sticker? Any idea how to get rid of it. I've tried cleaning it with megullar's cleaner, but it won't clean off. Dashboard imprint by blues posted Jan 31, 2018 at 5:41 PM

    Trade Android Cable for Lightning

Ah thanks. I didn't realize you can buy it via the online store already. The delivery person should've told me that. haha

    Trade Android Cable for Lightning

I picked up my Model 3 yesterday, and it came with one lightning cable for iPhones and another cable for android phones. If a model 3 owner in Orange County would like to swap their lightning cable for my android cable, please drop me a note. Thx

Los Angeles - Las Vegas trip with Superchargers

I've done this trip 5-6 times most of them before the Primm & Rancho Cucamonga charger opened, and only stopped in Barstow and had no problem with it being full (all Fri-Sun trips). Although when there were only 4 stalls, I once pulled into the last spot and another S came by 5-10 minutes later...

How bad is it for the car to be pushed hard often?

I have 16 months and 29,000 miles and I drive "spiritedly" all the time. My battery still charges to the same basic 233 +/- 5 mile range at a standard charge. Plus, with an 8 year unlimited mile warranty, I could care less. That's part of the reason you buy this car, so you don't worry about...

    Navigation screen blank

If you're talking about the center screen, it happened to me a lot on 5.8.8. I would get in, and everything would start except for the center screen. I was even able to drive the car, the only things not functioning were the screen, sound system, and climate control. After rebooting, everything...

    Orange County (CA) Tesla Group?

I'm in. I've been seeing more and more Model S' in the past month. There's at least 5 in my neighborhood already :scared:

California DMV - Plates & HOV Stickers

I either got lucky, or they are through with their backlog. I got my stickers today and I've only had my S for a month.

New SCE Rates for TOU-D-TEV effective April 1, 2013???

It depends on how much you drivea. I was using 30-40 kwH/day recharging the car on the weekdays. I went from tier 1 to tier 4 on the residential plan in 3 weeks and that's with generating 25-30 kwH/day from my solar power system :scared:. I just switched to the TOU plan and did calculations...

Charging costs in SoCal with Solar????

You can have a PV system and a two meter plan. However, the PV system can only be connected to one meter.

Charging costs in SoCal with Solar????

I agree, for most people with solar the TOU plan will work, but if you are a net consumer of electricity during the peak period, you can start paying 70 cents/kwH which is more than double the highest tier on the regular rate plan, so just make sure you don't use a lot of electricity during...

Charging costs in SoCal with Solar????

I have a 90 mile daily commute, and generate ~30kWH a day from my solar system. It is taking about 30-40 kWH to recharge my Tesla each night, so recharging the Tesla is wiping away all my generation now, and I'm getting pushed back into the higher tiers again. I did a bunch of calculations based...

    Gap next to Dead Pedal?

LOL Sorry.. I should've stuck with inches... I meant a mm or two... The panel is not flush against the carpet, I can still feel a gap when I run my finger along it, but it won't be able to slide underneath anymore, like it did in the photo.

    Gap next to Dead Pedal?

Yes.. there is still a small gap (maybe a cm or two), but I can't fit my finger in it any more, and my toe/foot definitely doesn't get caught in it anymore.

    Gap next to Dead Pedal?

So the service center checked out the gap this morning. They said a couple pins were missing and that's why the gap was there. They added the missing pins, and no more toe getting caught when I get out of the car, so the people that have this gap, you're probably missing those same pins and if...

    Gap next to Dead Pedal?

Seems to be a mixed bag, some people have it some don't. I'm taking mine to the Service Center on Monday because my tire pressure warning light keeps coming on even though all my tires are at the correct pressure. I'll have them take a look at this too.

    Gap next to Dead Pedal?

It's probably not a bug. It's just updated with the posts you make. I bet after this post, all of my entries on this thread will say Post: 5

    Gap next to Dead Pedal?

Was just wondering if this is normal. I have a 3/4" gap between the plastic and the carpeting next to the dead pedal and my foot keeps getting caught in it. I checked the passenger side and there is no gap between the plastic and the carpet.

Tesla changing some deliveries to customer homes

Sorry to hear about your experience Jack, but they have a delivery walkthrough video on the tesla website: http://www.teslamotors.com/models/walkthrough . The walkthrough I received by my DS was pretty much exactly the same as the one posted on their website. Hope that helps.

Factory pick up - Road trip home to San Diego

My pickup date is fast approaching and I was wondering if anybody has attempted to pick up their Model S at the Factory and taking PCH back to southern california as smorgasbord suggested above? I am pretty excited to try something similar, but wanted to see if anybody has tried it and what...
