Need canbus ID for controlling dome and footwell lights

yeah, I can do that but the one that would be harder is for the footwell as there is no control for it, maybe opening closing the doors might do the trick. If nobody has the info, I might have to do that.

Need canbus ID for controlling dome and footwell lights

I got a black interior and the 4 reading lamps are just not bright enough at night. I am adding a led dome light in the middle of the headiner (no pano roof) and want to control/ connect it with the driver reading lamp. I am ok for the electrical connection portion. My goal is to install a...

    Model 3 Coolant Specification

I have found the answer for at least model S, I suspect that it is the same for model 3 but you need to confirm. Using G-48 coolant: mixture of 60% ethylene glycol and 40% water freezes at −45 °C (−49 °F)

    Model 3 Coolant Specification

I will need to replace all 3 3-way valves because they are leaking, car has 300 000km ( have a model S but coolant is same). I will do my best to minimize the spill but I am sure that I will drop some. I plan to order the coolant Zetex G48. Question I have: Anyone knows what percentage...

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

so far: 4.7K (10K should do) pulldown: D3 (CS) 1K pullup to VDD (SD card 3.3V): CMD 1K pullup to VDD (SD card 3.3V): D0 working only in 1bit mode will have to get more details tonight....out of time

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

I succeeded in reading my chip without desoldering :). It is now too late to document how, I will tomorrow night. important things: Transcend USB reader (TS-RDF5K) IS working, none of my 3 others (generic) did, so order one if you want have a known compatible reader (cheap, about 10$) I also...

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

I would definitely try to get a good dump, freezer should help. I do not think that you could just reconstruct the data by splitting combining, it is not a puzzle, it is corrupted read. If another read fail, then maybe trying to recover the vpn keys is worth from your current dump.

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

Seeing an 8Gb FAT16 does not make sense. FAT16 maximum supported size is 8Gb. I am not sure about using the can of freezer is as good as the regular freezer method. Depending if you cool the chip after the power up, if may report differently. I would strongly suggest doing the test by leaving...

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

According to previous success from people I would think that you should freeze your chip to get your data back. Put in in the freezer for a while then remove it and try to see if the 4 partitions are visible. If so, then I suggest you read the whole chip while being in the freezer. I suggest...

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

it seems like I am in the same boat as you but for me before desoldering the chip, I will try with a reader known to be compatible with Hynix chip, which one of them is a transcend TS-RDF5K, very cheap on Amazon. user Luckyluke mentioned earlier in this thread that his chip was not even...

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

if your jtag is putting out 0-5v, it is beyond the spec for the emmc chip....you should not using as is. You could lower the voltage to 3.3v using a resistor voltage divider (google resistor voltage divider calculator). You can do that to the signal for your reader to the cid. As for the signal...

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

Anyone wants to sell their Allsocket SD version reader? Once you did the job, your are not going to have to replace the chip anytime soon! I need to rapidly make a backup of my MCU as I have signs that it is going bad. I tried soldering the wires and connecting to a regular cheap SD card reader...

Successful data recovery of broken eMMC chip MCU1

I just noticed from your picture that your PCB seems a little different. You have some components populated that the reference picture does not have. Also some via are not at the same location. look at the picture carefully, many difference are present. You will want to make 100% that the...

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

For sure before desoldering the actual emmc, I will do a full backup by soldering wires to specifics points to communicate with the emmc. The other end of the wires will be connected to a modified cheap regular sd card reader. This way, I will be able to read the entire chip (hopefully). Then...

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Seems like I am next in doing the emmc chip replacement. I am starting to see a few signs that it is going out. MS2015 with 300000km! I will replace the chip myself, being in the electronic field will help.:) Question I have: @rooter published a way to read the emmc chip without desoldering (by...
