Thanks, I’ve done a quick read through of the instructions on the Tesla website so I’ll give it at go. There will be a day where I’ll have both cars available but they’re both linked to Lex Autolease so I’m not expecting it to be straight forward but I’m sure I’ll get there with it. 🙃
Hi All,
A M3 long range has come up at work so I’m putting my SR+ into the pool for someone else to use. Should I do a reset in my current Tesla to sign out of my apps, Wi-Fi etc. and when I get the new car can you transfer driver profiles so when I get into the car I don’t have to set...
I drove from Birmingham to Padstow last week, used Gordano and Lifton and arrived in Padstow with 65% battery. On the return leg I used Exeter (Darts Farm) and Michaelwood. All chargers were at 50% capacity when I arrived midday/early afternoon so it made the journey more enjoyable.
I used ABRP...
My previous Volvo XC90 retained auto steer while changing lanes, I believe it was when the indicator was active it allowed you to take over without turning it off. Such a simple software change would make such a massive difference, the thing I hate the most is the chime of AP going off and then...
If I’m looking to switch to octopus go, how do I use a referral? I’m moving from EDF and already have a SMETS2 meter installed but I still need to go onto a standard tariff first.
I don’t want to miss the boat on using a referral.
I chose blue and having a friend with the MSM I have no regrets, even he said the blue was better. Don’t be fooled by the red in the showroom, I had a red one as a loaner once and I wasn’t impressed, it looked dull without the shiny coating!
It’s quite a thick cable (20mm) and they asked me to install 50mm plastic conduit which was pretty much to make their life easier doing the installation but I packed each end of mine and covered it so it’s out of sight.
My opinion was to just bite the bullet and process the order and if there...
It’s pretty standard unless you’re asking for non-standard work. It has to be hard wired directly to the main unit so if your garage is separate to the house then it will need to go underground. I had mine installed on a retaining wall on our driveway and dug/laid plastic conduit in advance of...
I paid £279 with the grant back in October, fitted within 3 weeks and had no issues with it.
My only negative is the size, I have an untethered version and it turned out bigger than I expected, especially in comparison to others.
I lease and whenever I supercharge the money is taken out of my bank account the next day. I would say if it’s not there after 2/3 days then you got it for free.
I’m on lease and my premium connectivity has never ended, I expect it will at some point in the future but I think until Tesla have worked out a process to charge lease customers, they won’t switch it off.
Thanks for the info, when I got home from work I checked the settings again and it now allows me to turn it off and on manually.
It does seem to be on all the time though as it says on the screen passenger airbag on.
Thanks guys, just on the passenger airbag, it’s greyed out on the options so it can’t be manually switched off which means I can’t sit my daughter in the front of the car in her car seat because of the danger of the airbag.
ideally I would have her in the back but she seems suffer with travel...
Hi folks,
I've noticed a couple of strange things with my Tesla over the last 24 hours and I'm wondering if anyone has had similar issues or whether it could just be something that could happen that we have to live with.
1. Yesterday, I left the office - opened the boot to put my bag in the...
I have the same issue with mine, one behind the rear door and another on the bonnet, it’s going into Tesla next week to sort, amongst some other things.
I thought mine was scratched and worked out it still had the protective film on it, worth a shot if you were unaware like me, I expect the film is easy to mark, especially with a card.
I have a few of these too, quite noticeable in certain lights/angles, mine is booked into Tesla on 13th May to look at as well as some interior issues.
If everyone sat in the inside lane doing the speed limit I would agree but most lorries are doing 60 at best and while I’m generally not in a rush, I don’t like looking at the back of a lorry for more than a few minutes.
Very true, we can only hope. I guess you just expect some things out of the box but this would be one of my limited negative comments with an extremely long list of positives.
It is a possibility however with my car I don’t have the option to add any upgrades even though it would be coming out of my own pocket, I’ve set up my bank information within my account settings but without seeing no shred of evidence of the actual car within the account I can only see them...
Thanks folks, I guess I’m a little disappointed having come from a Volvo XC90 with autopilot that allowed you to indicate and move the steering wheel into the next lane without disengaging autopilot.
I assumed this would do the same, but it’s good to know. I didn’t want the car the...
It’s a shame for those of us who are leasing that are willing to pay it but don’t have the opportunity to because the lease companies control the upgrades and give you no options.
I’m reading conflicting information regarding lane changes while using autopilot on motorways. I don’t have FSD so I’m not referring to auto lane changes in this question however I needed to take a short trip down the motorway this morning to pick up some medication and engaged autopilot however...
Day 5 on 2020.12.0.2 and still the car won’t sleep, I’ve turned off WiFi etc to see if this is effecting it but I’ve still lost 5% in 12 hours.
I’ll switch the WiFi back on and hope that another update comes through soon that sorts it out.
This is what I was expecting, make the most of premium connectivity while it lasts and then plan for life without it, strange for Tesla to miss out on funds by excluding lease customers from upgrades.
I've installed 2020.12.0 and found that my car isn't going to sleep and therefore the battery is draining at a rate of 1% every 3 hours, I've checked sentry mode and this is switched off so not sure what's stopping it from going into a deep sleep, any ideas?
