This issue just developed in my car so I can assure you that it is not a normal operating sound. Up until 3 days ago my car was silent when I was parked with everything off but not it buzzes away. I can hear it while driving as well, quite annoying.

I have a similar problem except I am trying to search for the same phone. I clicked forget device because it would not sync my contact list and now it wont find it :(
