Im always powering vcc with an external PS set to 2.8v, never through the jtag or sd adapter. The sd adapter gives out a cmd level of 5-0v, ill try to make a divider and get it close to 2.8v. If not im sort of running out of options and might just desolder the chip and try it in a reader...

Im not sure what you mean by "usb3 under usb2" Word42? The SD reader is USB 3.0, i've been trying to read it on Linux and not windows. Maybe it expects 5v logic, when i put a logic analyzer to it the cmd signal swings from 5v to almost 0v.

Could my eMMC just be completely toast? MCU wont light up the display so im assuming it already has some corruption issues. Could this maybe be the reason it wont be detected?

By DI i asume you mean data in, as in Miso(master in, slave out) ? And d0 as mosi(master out, slave in) ? What pin on the AllSocket do you use as CS? I tried checking out the pins but cant see any pin labeled cs on the AllSocket reader? Vcc and GND should be fine as power supply draws 750mA at 2.7V

I just tried this with two different methods. First off i tried to pull down the d3 connection towards 0v. This had no effect, then i tried to use the CMD line and connect it to d3, still nothing. Am i taking a wrong approach here? Im getting nowhere :(
