I had mobile service take care of it during my 2 year service; cost was like $30 or $40 USD. In my case at least, wear was pretty even after 13k miles so no harm done by the longer interval.

In my case, I haven’t been having noticeable problems with freeway Autopilot, but it sounds like some people have.

Yeah I use it 99% of the time on the freeway, and suspect that most Tesla owners are like me. I get annoyed when I have to drive a rental car because of the lack of it.

Maybe get in touch with someone at Tesla who can tell who whether it is safe to remove, or remove it themselves using the internal tools. Like if someone from the delivery center has already been in touch with you about the timeline, you could reach out directly to them.

When you say that FSD is “dropping out” into regular Autopilot, is that on freeways? If so that is expected and has always been the case afaik. if you are on city streets and seeing that, that does sound odd, and not something I’ve seen yet.

I did a camera recalibration recently to see if it would smooth out FSD Beta 10.4. To my surprise, it really seems improved since then, and I've had my best drives with it ever! I'm seeing less sudden weird jerking in unexpected directions and steadier steering, which makes it a lot more...

FWIW in my case the first part of the recalibration (the blue circle) took about 7 miles, and the second part (the FSD beta part in Autopilot settings) took about 5 more.

I've been using VO Autopilot / NoA on the freeway for the last couple weeks due to FSD beta, and have found it to be very solid so far, as good or better than what I had before. I haven't had a chance to play with it much in heavy rain, nor driven it much at night though.
