    Tesla Software updates - Australia

It might not be a good idea to allow this until the cameras are able to identify turn lights.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

That might explain explain why I have been fortunate to get updates without a long delay. I have noticed that I get them after a drive and almost never when I am at home. FSD might be a factor too. I have done 15,959km in 7 months with a daily 90km commute to work. I got the 2020.28.5 update...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Has anyone noticed how difficult it is to get a red light when when you need one !!! I have not had an opportunity to be stopped at a light with a turn signal on the side. On the occasions when I was behind another vehicle with lights that had a turn signal, I noticed confusion, as the display...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I had the same experience. I assumed it was due to an error.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Thanks. I checked it but it remains unchanged. I manually turn the SMS message sync and notifications on after every update as that's turned off.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

2020.16.2.1 appears to have reduced the regenerative braking in my M3. I noticed that I am using the brake pedal more often after the update. Frist world problem but I am spoilt by single pedal driving. Maybe its less aggressive but has the same regen. I wish we had more than 2...

Any suggestions for Australian installer for trunk powerlift?

Lynbrook Victoria according to their site. Install Areas | Intelligentized Auto Parts | Hansshow I contacted Hansshow directly and was given the details of an installer in Sydney. Haven't had the time to get it installed yet. I think you local installer will come to your home and install it.

Rear Heated Seats upgrade for Model 3 SR+

I noticed that the upgrade is available in the vehicle profile on the website for AUD500. The upgrade option does not appear in the phone app. Resisted the temptation to instantly click without approval from the CFO in the house.;)

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I drive almost 100km everyday and use AP/NoA on M1 and M2 in Sydney on a daily basis and consider it a very useful diver assist feature. It's very useful in heavy traffic or when there is no traffic. However, I find it less "relaxing" when it's busy and moving close to the speed limit. I...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

The braking is not just on autopilot but occurs even on TACC. It's a little disappointing as TACC is a well established technology. I wish Tesla would move features such as TACC and parking assist out of beta. There might be a temptation not to fix them as long as they remain beta as we use...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

The wait time appears to be >7 weeks but the entire delivery process and timeline is deceptive. The items I ordered were not over-sized and in stock. I cant understand why it takes longer than 6 weeks to post items they have in stock. They appear to give low priority to international shipments...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Don't know how effective they are but rpmtesla will take forever to ship. I cancelled my order after it remained "unfulfilled" for 7 weeks.

Jeda Model 3 Hub with Taptes Wireless Charger

The charger works horizontally, so I don't think it should be a problem. I use my it to charge my Note 8 horizontally. Galaxy S9 Plus - 158.1 x 73.8mm The Galaxy Note 10+ is 162.3 x 77.2 mm and it's clearly stated that it fits on the website. TAPTES Wireless Charging Pad for Tesla Model 3

    HPWC install - isolation switch?

I recently had my HPWC installed with it's own 3-phase circuit breaker. Initially it was installed without an isolation switch but I had one installed the following day. I use the isolation switch to turn off the HPWC when not in use to stop the faint but audible high pitch hum.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

It would be much better when the car uses the cameras to update the speed limit in real time based on road signs rather than map data.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I took delivery last week and thought I required an updated map as the option was greyed out. However, I got the option to turn NOA on after a return trip to the central coast today without a visible map update. Maybe you just need to drive some more.

What was missing from your Model 3? (if anything...)

Premium connectivity for the life of the car or current owner? You wouldn’t want to upset a self driving car too much with a legal challenge I have watched far too many episodes of black mirror!

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yes. I can confirm that LTE/streaming is still working for me after the update on my SR+. I just assumed we will have it for the first month after delivery.

How good are Tesla’s in Australia’s extreme heat?

True. However, I assume there is a gap that’s filled with air that can provide some insulation or maybe even some insulating material. If you hold the back of your hand below the glass you can feel the heat radiate once the glass heats up. The air conditioning appears to be quite capable of...

How good are Tesla’s in Australia’s extreme heat?

I have been changing between auto and manual too. However, it's a lot easier after the new update as the voice commands make the process of adjusting a lot easier. I need to get the sunshades as the glass gets hot and radiates heat into the cabin.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yep. Did a drive to see if it required “calibration”. SR+ FSD Navigate on autopilot is still greyed out. The changing of speed based on the adjacent lane works like a charm. Slowed down in a roadworks situation. A quick double button press on the wheel or another key press combo might be...
