Did you upgrade to MCU2 when you had your FSD computer upgrade? I also have a 2017 model and noticed that I usually get software updates slower than MCU2 cars. I finally upgraded to MCU2 recently and already getting my updates more frequently.

Sorry my bad. Thought when you said IC you were referring to the controller powering the main screen. For MCU1 there’s a separate controller for the instrument cluster. For MCU2 the instrument cluster is now powered by the same controller that powers the main screen. For MCU2 upgrades Tesla...

They replace the screen. MCU is one unit (screen and board).

Have the same car and stuck on 2029.40.1.1 as well. Same thing happened when v10 was released. MCU2 cars got in several weeks ahead. FML

Voice control on MCU1 is pretty slow as it is. Would love this feature but suspect they won’t add it if it causes further slowdowns. I noticed MCU1 also doesn’t support syncing phone volume over Bluetooth like MCU2 does.
