FWIW - My service advisor in Seattle told me about two months ago that I would not have to pay for ranger fees, as there is a service center planned for Anchorage. I am on my second Model S, and so far, I have had excellent service visits here without any fees.

I'm in Alaska and learned my P85D that finished production yesterday will have front next gen seats and old style rears. What a huge shipping expense (both ways) along with flying a ranger here... I'm not complaining, whatsoever, but just acknowledging the logistics involved.

I thought that some of that "reserve" beyond 0 miles of rated range is anti-bricking protection, and some is for hidden buffer miles. From the graph below, 5.1 kWh is drivable beyond 0 and 3.9 kWh is anti-bricking protection. Am I mistaken?

The only limitation I am aware of is the inability for rangers to perform an alignment. One time, I needed some type of wiring harness replaced, and Tesla arranged for the ranger to use a local Midas shop to get the vehicle off the ground.

In short, yes. There are somewhere between 6–10 Teslas in Alaska, and a ranger comes here several times a year from Seattle to do repairs and annual service visits. Their communication, attitude, and approach have been excellent. -Josh

I checked the delivery spreadsheet yesterday and did not see that anyone had received the next generation seats. Knowing that not everyone is using the spreadsheet, has anyone received confirmation that their P85D has the new seats?
