    Non-owner config invites have begun!

Just checked the tesla website and was surprised to see I got an invite to configure for 3-6 week delivery. Non-owner, online order on March 31st in east coast (WV). Opted to wait for AWD and possibly white interior.

    8.0 Firmware (2.40.21) Just Downgraded To 7.1 (2.36.31)

Is the "Unable to initialize DrivePX2" a normal error sign? I am just wondering if that message is reference to the recent Electrek article that said Tesla may start using Nvidia's new DrivePX2 platform in Autopilot 2.0. I know Nvdia processors are used in current Model S's, but I thought they...

    Firmware 7.0 Beta Discussion

Did this person do something wrong in this case with autopilot? I know it is normally meant for highway, but what do you think happened here since there are double yellow lines?

    Only 90 KWh battery?

According to this article http://www.wsj.com/articles/tesla-launches-model-x-electric-suv-1443585319 and a few other articles I think, Elon said today there will be a battery option smaller than 90 kWH sometime in the future, but no date or size confirmation yet.

    Maryland Superchargers

The charging equipment (three supercharger bays) are onsite in Hagerstown in a side parking lot right before where the actual supercharger posts are. Most of the wiring seemed to be there, but the crates for the superchargers were are still covered. I stopped by on Thursday and saw them there.

Musk says he's delaying cross-country trip to Spring Break

In the third quarter shareholder letter, it said they would enable a cross country trip by the end of the year so I wonder if that information is not up to date or the just the trip is delayed to March and not the actual superchargers.

    Supercharger - Farmington, NM

It makes sense for Elon's family trip this winter across the country. He said earlier this year that the Four Corners is potentially one of his stops along his trip. Image from Tesla Motors/Businessweek: http://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-plans-model-s-road-trip-2013-9

    NHTSA crash tests results/videos

I'm not sure if these have already been posted somewhere on the site, but I came across some of the NHTSA crash testing videos on the Model S. It looks like the rating will be released soon( or already has been released). The Youtube video says that is 5 star crash tested. Seeing those Model S's...

    Official: Model S Service Plans

i love that service plans are now optional. It definetely makes more sense because Tesla kept on saying their cars were low maintenance and now their service plan reflects that. I do wonder how it will affect their balance sheet because I would imagine a lot of people who will forego a annual...

Good news for Canada. Superchargers are most likely headed to to Ontario in the very near term. Or at least it is heavily implied by this tweet. Srdjan Pejic @batasrki @elonmusk what are Tesla's plans around installing Superchargers in Ontario, Canada? I'm seeing Model Ss around, wondering...

Tesla head on collision with a Honda

Will Tesla actually have the logs for this? I thought Elon said data logs were only turned on for media or with written permission.

Anyone configured with standard suspension or a 40 kwh battery?

These May-June delivery estimates now seem to be the earliest the 40 kwH cars will be delivered. ccording to the Tesla Q4 Shareholders report, "Delivery of cars with the 40 kWh battery pack is expected to begin later this summer." Wonder what the reason for the delay is? Source...

Has any S been driven to shutdown? (other than Broder's)

Well I think dmetcalf did drive his battery all the way down down to zero when he did his 400+ range trip. (Although there may have beem someenergy elft in the car) I know that he did did a flatbed to tow his car, but this hardly counts.
