Vendor Model 3 Öhlins DFV Coilovers - Engineered by Redwood Motorsports ™

This sounds like a great option. Redwood, can you maybe clarify a little more? Asked a different way: given a driver who only goes to HPDE/auto-x a couple times a year at most on street legal tires (dedicated set), but commutes a ton and enjoys spirited back road driving, would the...

Vendor Model 3 Öhlins DFV Coilovers - Engineered by Redwood Motorsports ™

Thanks for all the information and answers so far, Redwood. A few more questions: (1) Please comment more on the removal of OEM soft rubber bushings you mentioned for the Ohlins install? Why is that required and what is the benefit? Can you quantify any tradeoff in NVH for street use? (2)...

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.1 - new HOLD mode and other features

Yup, my wh/mi numbers seem to gone up on my daily commute since the update. I have been mindful of it and trying not to drive any different or accelerate hard. I use hold also. Weather is mild here and not cold (60 deg commute)

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.1 - new HOLD mode and other features

Yes, I noticed this too. The regen seems more "gentle" now, and requires either lifting off the accel pedal much earlier or using the brakes. I thought I was crazy when my habitual regen braking points on my commute left me sailing towards intersections (okay that's an exaggeration, but I had...

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.1 - new HOLD mode and other features

re: Joe Mode broken Is it just me or post-update is Joe Mode either 'less quiet', or maybe broken and not inducing a sound loudness reduction at all? Before the update Joe Mode volume was tolerable, but now it is stuck on too loud and annoying. No perceivable difference when I toggle the Joe...

Thanks for posting it. I would hit like but maybe I am too new to be allowed to use buttons

Software update version 36.2.1 user interface changes

Re: Joe Mode in 36.2.1. Is Joe Mode working correctly for everyone? Updated to 36.2.1 and now all the warning noises are stupid loud again. I cycled the Joe Mode setting and there was no perceived difference in volume. Even tried a soft two button restart. Anyone else have this issue? At...

Unplugged Performance ships seemingly used parts

Can you post a link? I am curious about any user feedback on the UP aero setup, but I don't see anything after a quick search. Thanks! Their white paper is very convincing, and makes the ~$1600 setup very tempting. But, if in real world it does nothing, that bodes very poorly for them.

Stock 2020 Vette looks to have lower 0-60 time vs P3.

1000% this. It's a niche market, and they wouldn't sell a ton. But, if they essentially co-opted the BRZ/GT86 twins or the Miata to make a lightweight (much as they can) EV sportscar for the average enthusiast, they would earn a lot of good will from the motorsports community and I think earn...
