Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I use this mount attached to the top left back of my screen. This places the iphone between the top of my steering wheel and my tesla screen so that I don't have to look down. I use the phone for waze or google maps, any "hey siri" duties, or tesla stats.
joebruin thanks for posting this, I see that you've posted many times around detailing. Is this a topcoat? Did you throw away your towels (SiO2) after applying the product?
My M3 had a ton of fine scratches at delivery. I spent a full day where I washed, dried, then used a DA polisher and meguiar's polish taking the scratches out. I then cleaned each panel with an isopropyl solution (IPA) and applied Cquartz 3 using a light on a tripod. Threw the applicator and...
You could call a mobile dent repair company. I don't know whether that little crease can be pulled out or whether it needs to be filled and painted. I'm also not sure whether the scraped areas can be compounded and polished or whether they would need to be painted and then clear coated. Talk...
My M3 had lots of scratches at delivery in December. I used the Meguiars products joebruin mentioned with a porter 7424 buffer/ polisher to remove them. When I wash my M3 I pre-soak and then use a two bucket method washing either top to bottom or cleanest to dirtiest panels (doors, hood, top...
I'm in the same boat, just took delivery in december. I imagine you can call your local service center and have them order it for you BUT don't know how you would install it. I ordered a third party M3 dead pedal, tore their sticky back off and applied two strips of velcro. The pedal hasn't...
Take it back and have them fix it. You should expect that any issues that occur with the install or the material are fixed so soon after it was applied. The ppf on one of my mirrors developed a thumb-sized blurry section and my provider replaced it
I live in a metro area and paid $700 for a 90' run of #6 to my Tesla wall charger. The electrician also charged me $200 for the permit that cost him $55. That was my cheapest quote, the first electrician was referred by the local Tesla store wanted $2400.
Have you tested the outlet and extension cord by plugging in something else? Is the outlet a gfci that needs to be reset?
This should just work. Work slowly, but it should work.
The coating will protect against bird droppings and environmental damage. The paint protection film (PPF) will protect against some stone chips. If you're driving a small distance in city conditions you may not have a high probability of stone chips. One option may be to have the PPF...
This is the reason I like the stats app for my M3. It shows me my efficiency and total miles based on the way I'm driving. As an example, my efficiency yesterday was 104% and the estimated range at 100% was 325 miles.
15% difference between the higher and departure charge was recommended in a reply from the stats developer. I wish he would fully document these features.
shop carefully, quotes for full front in baltimore area ranged from $1400 to $2500. The $1400 quote was for good quality ppf (suntek ultra) and the provider followed all of the best practices - prep, swirl removal, tack, wrap edges, no stretch marks, etc.
I ordered a dead cover and some 2” Velcro with sticky back. Removed the back of the cover and cut two of the 2” loop strips to length and stuck them on. It holds very well
Level 1 @110v you'll have only 4mph charging and will need to stow your charging adapter or buy an additional adapter if you need to charge at your destination
Level 2 @240V you'll charge at a higher rate depending on your car. NEMA 14-50 is the least expensive option here. The electrician's...
Protection first. Floor and mats, door sill protection, think about PPF, screen protector, console and dash. Based on the videos in /r/teslacam, I'd buy an SSD or SD endurance for sentry CAM.
$650 for 100' of #6 wire with 60amp fuse and permits. I live west of Baltimore, so state of MD provides up to $700 and my power company provides $300. I also had the electrician pull a second set of wiring for $400, we terminated that in an electrical box in the garage for a future EV or...
I wouldn't try a compound like scratch-x before trying a polish first. I'd wash the car, clay it, then use a polish to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, you could use a sealant.
