USB for dashcam exFAT vs FAT

To follow up on this despite claims on reddit that this is supported i could not get it to work.

USB for dashcam exFAT vs FAT

Not true. Exfat stored copies of its partition table and has checksum capabilities. It is far more error tolerant than fat32. Ext4 is a superior choice, yes, BUT you cannot read it with a smartphone. At least not an android phone. Android won't automount ext4 partitions.

USB for dashcam exFAT vs FAT

To update this thread, as of 2020.8.1 Tesla vehicles now support exFAT file system. I'd recommend re-partitioning as exFAT. It's a more modern file system designed for flash devices.

    NEW M3 showing only 310 vs 322

This is not a good recommendation. Use % instead of miles because miles can leave you with a dead car. On your trip, use the Energy Graph in the Charging menu to view your PROJECTED mileage which is based on your current average consumption. Miles display will lie to you since that is...

    "Export" vs "Domestic" side mirrors

These certainly are nice. But I have no problem with the current mirrors if you use the "trick" for adjusting mirrors to view your blindspot. Most people are told to adjust their mirrors so you can just barely see the back quarterpanel of your car. This is still true. The trick is, when...

    Model 3 mud guards

I think I'd rather have those than the logo monstrosities. Being official Tesla I assume they're somewhat designed with aerodynamic efficiency in mind. Hopefully they'll be orderable in the US.

    Best all season tires?

For what it's worth (to other people), your answer is relative to OP having the Pilot Sport 4S tires. The CrossClimate+ tires are generally an upgrade from the Primacy MXM4 tires in everything except efficiency and road noise. And in general even with MXM4 tires this car isn't traction limited...

    Model 3 mud guards

Those are the same mudflaps every chinese seller sells on Amazon. Most are less than $19.99 That said, with the 3M tape and adhesive promoter seems like a good deal.

If Tesla Needs a little cash, add Ludicrous mode to existing Model 3 Performance

Pretty sure the P3D has PLENTY of room for more improvement if Tesla chooses to. The majority of the reason they don't is drivetrain and power electronics stress / warranty. Also the battery. But the inverter system has 24 90A mosfets so it is capable of more.

    Model 3 mud guards

Even if they rub they're likely better than without. But securing them with some 3M tape would probably help. That said I'll probably get a small bit of 3M PPF film to put under the area they sit. Cut a small triangle. You can get a 12x12 piece for $10. Or 12x60 for $30...

Discussion: Floor Mats in Model 3

Shipping containers are $1000 for a 20x10 and $1500 for a 40x10 from China. You could easily stuff 500-1000 of these in a shipping container so that adds like $1-2 Not saying anyone could realistically order these themselves but illustrating the margins TapTes is making for a thirty-dollar item.

These fools buying TapTes mats to spam forums are getting ripped off for garbage. They're $32 on Alibaba. 3d All Weather Car Floor Mat For Tesla Model 3 - Buy 3d Car Floor Mat,All Weather Car Mat,Car Mat For Tesla Model 3 Product on Alibaba.com

Black Dual Motor with Underline Badge

There are stealth performance model 3s. They are performance model 3s without the 20" wheels or the red calipers. They are $7k cheaper than the full Performance version. I own one. $49,500 Black/Black.

    Model 3 mud guards

I got these mud flaps for my black / black P3D-. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W6NZ25H I will probably install them tomorrow. They seem to be a new design and cover further back on the rocker panel:

Official Thread: Cybertruck (Cybrtrk) Event - Nov 21, 2019

Remember that CyberTruck can lower itself to a fairly low height, something other trucks can't do. It's possible at its lowest setting the lift-over height is less than a 2020 F-150. Newer trucks are ridiculously tall.

Mine were shipped free. Are you in another country or did you accidentally select expedited shipping?

Black Dual Motor with Underline Badge

Technically the only indicator it's a Performance model is the underline in the software. Anyone can put a badge on. People with BMWs do it and they get PISSED.

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

Out of curiosity, can you do some low-power testing sometime (20-30% SOC)? An interesting post came up on reddit today. A user did some P3D testing @ 22% SOC. M3P-: 0-60MPH @ 22% SOC : teslamotors Previously the same user did some full-power testing. Model 3 Performance (Stealth) 0-60mph...

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

You're right, looks like the stacking coupon still works! I have a FedEx tracking label now so I'm safe lol. Cats out of the bag. Debated a Trunk mat but even with the coupon its $72. Not quite as good of a value as the front liners. Now to go find my electrical tape for those damn logos.....

Discussion: Floor Mats in Model 3

It seems MaxPider got their hands on some TapTes floor mats for what it's worth. For the record, at $99 the differences don't matter that much probably. The only thing I worry is the texture for safety. The MaxPider mats have a rubber surface texture so your heels don't slip. It seems the...

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

My floor mats shipped from AutoAnything.com today ($127 for the set). Aside, it seems 3D MaxPider got their hands on TapTes mats and posted comparisons. I seem to have been dead-on in every bullet point above. 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mats vs Imitation Floor Mats : 3DMAXpider

TSportline added their logo to all their wheels - voice your disappointment!

The logo isn't the tacky part. The tacky part is the giant block, which is non-functional, and technically increases wheel weight. Unsprung wheel weight is very important for performance. This is a performance part and they just reduced performance. Idiots.

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

FYI, I Google Mapped AutoAnythings address. Their street sign says they are "an AutoZone company". AutoZone being the nationwide chain. So yeah sounds like they're legit. Probably bought out by AutoZone for their specialty parts. There was a bug yesterday that stacked the 20% off with the...

New AWD LR 0-60 after 5% power increase?

The AWD seems to be 4.1-4.2 w/o rollout and the P3D hits 3.2 now w/o rollout. With rollout (I posted the imgur above) the best AWD time on dragy is 3.86 and the P3D has gotten to 2.98. There honestly isn't a lot of testing going on right now, everyone is suffering the effects of cold...

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

As far as differences between the 3D MaxPider and TapTes, I've done a ton of research and short of buying both I've ascertained the following: 1. The TapTes mats are quality, but "thinner" 2. The 3D MaxPider mats are supposed to have a EDPM Rubber coating on the surface. Not sure if the...

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

Yeah pretty sure that's a negative on these being "factory seconds" 1. They don't have the velcro back. The TapTes just have rubber dots on the back. 2. People have noted the TapTes ones seem fairly thin.

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

They probably are, or will be. The LC (low current) parts only started showing up in the parts database very recently. Tesla is entering the high-volume stage where $50, $100, or $200 of extra margin significantly matters on the bottom line vs the complexity of supply chain management of...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

The difference is the AWD artificially gets worse. Go back to that 2nd graph again. Why does the AWD at 75% drop power from 90% at all? The P3D at 75% is capable of way more power. Same inverter (supposedly). Same motor (supposedly). And definitely the same battery. I'm guessing the 4.4...
  31. J

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

Pretty sure the difference between the 980 and 990 parts is Tesla is using a lower-cost low current MOSFET now to get more margin out of the lower models. Which is why a unlock may not happen unless Tesla attempts to explain to people why some cars can get it and others cannot within the same...
  32. J

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

We don't know why Tesla rated them different. One explanation could be SOC (state of charge). The P3D might be more rated to hold near a 3.2 time at lower SOCs whereas a AWD loses performance rapidly. There really hasn't been a lot of testing. I mean, when you think about it, when you buy a...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

    There's also a new P3D record on dragy today of a 2.98 w 1 foot rollout.
  34. J

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

The SINGLE 3.86 run is including the 1ft rollout as quoted by dragy. The guys time w/o rollout is 4.08, a full 0.3s more. Somethings shady since all the other AWD owners are getting a 0.2s between the two measurements. At any rate, the P3D is still a full 1 second faster 0-60.
  35. J

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

The 3.86 is ONE dragy run and includes 1 ft rollout and is yet to be matched or replicated. Otherwise everyone else is getting 4.2 / 4.0 w/ rollout for AWD on the dragy app. You can download the dragy app and see the results without owning one. Meanwhile all the P3Ds are getting 3.2 fully...

Camera-Based Object Detection - The Limiting Factor to FSD

I think it's funny you post a conference / demonstration video and call it perfection. EVERYONE manicures their data for presentation purposes. Of course they're not going to show their system failing. Let's not forget Tesla used Mobileye for their early systems and people got killed crashing...
