    Alloy Gators and alignment problems

Just wanted to add my experience. I had to have 2 tires replaced after they had some damage done to them and they removed my Alloy Gators from all rims. I was told in order to do the alignment properly, they HAVE to remove all Alloy Gators from the car. I am not sure about doing the alignment...

I agree with Litewait. Some of the paint protection that I have seen is not ideal. The Paint Armor that comes with the car I have had the most problems with and still have an outstanding issue. I do have a strange shimmer on my hood from that. AS far as the EXPEL product goes, I am a big fan. I...

Where have others had their Alloy Gators installed? I have tried to look through the old posts and did not find the answer to this. Thanks. Jeoff P4265

I do not know details of event. Tesla service staff was very coy about the who's, how's, and what's with this including who was paying and how much water was driven through. The service adviser told me the car should be fine in driven up to 1/2 of rim height, then clarified a minimum of 6-9" of...

@stephenpace- I understand your issue with this- You bought mats and then Tesla gives them out for free. While mine do not have the Tesla logo, they seem to be pretty good quality and I will not have to get the ones I pre-ordered from Weathertech now. This is similar to what Tesla did with the...

@LiteWait The rear floor mat is a custom fitted single piece that is much better than the ones I had in there before. The front ones are a little thicker mat. ALso, my original mat on the passenger side would roll up (the top flops down). These do not. MUCH better to the point that I will...

I have to second Cyberwelly's post. My car has been to the service center several times and just had some final fixes done last week. Ranger picked up car, I walked (1/2 mile max) to local Enterprise branch to get rental car. Work done by next day and ranger brought car back to me at my...

@rakeshtx I hope they get that fixed soon. Glad I did not get the sunroof. I posted brochures from the EXAR-1, a never-to-production all electric car I wanted to buy in the 80's. My almost first electric car. The Tesla is all this car was supposed to be and more. Besides a passenger side...

    My almost first electric car.

I thought I would share this. The story behind the company and president has many sides (crook, fraud, killed by big oil, etc.) but still worth sharing. My childhood dream car. I saved up my money and talked with the manufacturer (see hand-written notes on last page). It never went into...

It was nice meeting all the Tesla owners and soon to be owners at Buffalo Grill this evening. A very diverse group and only a small segment of Tesla owners in Houston. I mentioned that someone had gotten into the Tesla API and set up a twitter account for his car to tweet info about what it was...

For those who are interested. Eric at XPEL off 45 near Ritchey said that he will give 10% discount to anyone referred by the Tesla Motors Club. It is the same deal he has with other clubs like the Porsche Club. So mention Tesla Motors club and save some $$.

The service center is awaiting for their Certificate if occupancy before they officially open. They should have that by early next week- March 18th or 19th (Monday or Tuesday). Richard is manager and was not there this week. Wes is service tech and good guy. Ian is detailer / porter and did a...

It was great seeing all the Teslas this weekend at Coffee and Cars. My Tesla was indeed shipped back from Austin Friday night arriving in Houston at 2am Saturday. It was dropped off at my home at 3pm Saturday. I have to hand it to Richard (Service guy for Houston) as he is definitely burning the...

@LiteWait- Thanks for map! I will be there but my Tesla is still in Austin. I guess the part they were waiting on did not seem to fix the problem as it should have been back tonight. I do not know more specifics. It sucks, but my Cutlass is driving great and needs to get some miles on it so...

I posted this on main Tesla Houston forum. Another Tesla owner used them and seemed to have good experience as well. Also, for people interested, I had my outlet done by Trio Electric- they mainly do commercial projects but I know the owner. VERY Professional job. They checked my max...

I have 2 garage door openers. One is 2002 and programmed easily. The other is 2012 and has a rolling code. There are extra steps with that. Follow the directions but the key step that is not mentioned is to put the remote only an inch or so from the bumper. That worked for me.

I received my Model S today. I was the third delivery for the driver. I am going to post on Tesla main site some thoughts I have on delivery process. Its was ok, but far from ideal. Car is parked in garage charging happily and waiting for its debut tomorrow. Beautiful car!

I got my call this evening and my delivery is tomorrow, but they can't give me any time estimate. Closest he would say is "I think it will be after 12pm". I asked if I could put it off until Wednesday and I was told it would cost me money to wait another day. We'll make it work. He has 2 other...

Just got back to town and interested in when others are getting their delivery this month. Mine shipped on Monday 2/4 and supposed to be delivered as early as tomorrow. Glad to meet LiteWait and the other some-to-be Tesla owners. LiteWait's car was beautiful but I was hoping that other Tesla owners would make it out. I am making the shift from the main Tesla forum to over here as I think this is a better way to communicate. I will definately be back to Cars...
