It's a different connector that the older model 3's had to be adapted to. The new ones will fit the lights out of the box but will have the amber light on with the brake lights -- hence the need for the code change.

This is correct.. the adapters are for 2020 and below model years.

If it matters, don't forget a 2020 is down one pin compared to later. 3 pins vs 4 which is why you need the teslogic dongle on 2020 and below.

I highly doubt they're taking much time to do much to the AP1 code at this point, so that's probably a safe assumption. That said, stop using the damn weight please.

Sigh, I literally just had to order one off eBay and replace mine because it failed due to the same.. and had to get the original and not an amber because these adapters are scarce atm :( Good luck. They're pretty cheap if you wind up biting the bullet.

They've literally talked about a 'deep rain' neural network guiding the auto wipers :). Seems pretty complex, yet not that effective unfortunately.

See that's definitely weird.. I never have problems when its actually raining and it does ramp up with intensity. But never fails if I'm driving head on towards sunlight if the windshield is dirty, they'll take a few swipes.

Wiping the windshield real good around the triple-camera area fixed this for me.. it sees spots of anything and thinks its raining.

The third time you get a "pay attention to the wheel" you'll get a strike.

TeslaFi still sees 1.4% of its fleet still on 2022.20.8... that is odd though. Have you tried the automatic diagnostic that occurs if you open a ticket for 'software stuck' to see if it kicks one down to you? I did this once and it caused one to finally hit.

Not much to say here, except the auto high beams appear to have been aggressively worked on in the FSD code.. they are far improved to the point its impressive how well they work sometimes. But they still flicker randomly with no cars around on occasion too. Wipers -- clean your windshield, man :)

They did the same limitations when they switched from Mobileye to AP2 -- of course it means they aren't confident. Don't forget Vision had a 75mph cap initially. Raised to 80, then 85. No doubt it will reach 90 just like Radar AP.

What version of fsd was it? I had the same issues on 10.2 but it has gotten far better.

My 2020 (delivered 2019) model 3 as well. But definitely not the case everywhere.

It seems while the assets were installed in 2022.20.9, some cars didnt have Vision activated until they installed the 2022.24.X branch and then the notes for 2022.20.X would show it retroactively.

Which is pretty interesting considering these cars actually have headlight sensors that work quite well :)

Actually the patents have been made open for all of this -- no auto manufacturers chose to use it. Also, EVgo has Tesla connectors at their DCFC's provided by using a hard-installed CHaDeMO adapter. Paging Uncle Pennybags!

I am in the same boat (opted out after being suspended right before they just reset suspensions for everyone -- doh) so I'd love to hear someone's experience with this. My fear is doing the safety score dance and never getting an fsd update because my vin is on a list due to opting out :)

Yup funny enough it had safety scores going back a month and I was already opted in. I opted out on the screen and my safety score disappeared again. My concern is doing the safety score shuffle again but not receiving fsd since my VIN is on some list now.

I don’t think it’s wide just yet, but we know what the notes say. Still kicking myself for opting out.
