Just to wrap up this post, got the factory-spec rear tires put on, all the codes supposedly cleared. Again, still bizarre why the car decided that it did not like the “incorrect”-sized tires a year after they were installed.

No, I did not. All four tires have less than 10k miles easily so I didn’t want to empty my wallet switching out all four. Tires are arriving tomorrow so hopefully will have a more definitive answer by end of the week.

But why almost a year later and not right after these wrong-sized tires were put on? That part still does not make sense.
