Gen III is definitely the most exciting news that I can think of. But to see a Model S fitted with Google self driving technology would certainly drop many jaws, including mine. It should be much easier to fit in a Model S than in the Prius they are currently using... It makes so much more...

this would be AWESOME! the thing is this super supercap seems to be decades away from becoming a commercial product. And even then with only 86Wh/kg it still no match for the MS's ~ 200Wh/kg Lithium-ion, witch by then will have allowed us a 100+kWh pack :wink:

According to this: Graphene supercapacitor breaks storage record - physicsworld.com the energy density should be 85.6 Wh/kg at room temperature and 136 Wh/kg at 80 °C. Pretty amazing for a device you can make with a common dvd-burner!
