Yeah I was aware the rear ports are power only. I can't get the controller to work with the glovebox ports. I tried Xbox and PowerA controllers.

What my SA told me is that the full transition is only occurring at the end of Q2, and they "haven't seen many" AMDs.

So your SA was legit able to check. Congrats! Lesson of the day: if your SA says they "can't check" which processor you're getting or that it's not "fully rolled out", then you're getting an Intel.

This may actually be true. It seems Tesla ran a "test batch" of 354s with AMD but then got a fresh shipment of Atom processors which they decided to burn through :)

It's not that different from the Costco example though. The car was transported to the OP's service center for delivery to him/her, only then they refused it. As far as the agreement defining what's "legitimate" - that's exactly why I used the word "abuse". Much like the Costco return policy...

Yeah, the game of refusing delivery when you just don't feel like it. For the same reason you wouldn't return a TV to Costco to get the latest model even if it was released just a few weeks after you purchased yours. There's no arguing one would benefit from doing it, just that it's abusive...

That's precisely how everyone is loosing. Costco already changed their policies on electronics returns, Tesla will ultimately follow due to the number of gamers out there. And I think refusing delivery does have a bigger impact than you make it out to be - it messes with the EDD and queuing...

I believe this is called "abusing the rules". People do this all the time and then everyone gets screwed. Same thing happened at Costco with return policies. Yes it was "allowed" to return your TV every year for the latest model but it screws Costco over and the rest of the consumers ultimately...

Not sure why you feel offended by this. If you want to play games and refuse delivery of a car you knowingly ordered without Ryzen then other customers who are more serious about taking deliveries should be prioritized over you.

I agree you're not screwing anybody else. That said, people like you should be kicked to the back of the line. Hopefully they'll implement that in the near future.

You got a last quarter build 9 days after that quarter ended? Doesn't seem likely... Regardless the penalty for refusing delivery nowadays seems to be 1-2 months of additional wait. Could be longer with your configuration - it's very popular. Just keep that in mind.

The other caveat here is the BBB bill says after 12/31/21 or when the bill is passed, the later of the two. If it doesn't get passed this month this waiting game becomes too unpredictable. I think I'm just going to take the next one they assign. I'm just never lucky enough to win when I gamble.

Yeah I already figured out the tablet thing a while back ago. My wife gets car sick too, and only since we got the M3, without any electronics. It's definitely something about the car that's different.

That's my concern. It seems that with the M3, and possibly the MY as well, Tesla prioritized the driver experience at the expense of the other passengers' comfort. I'm not looking for a sports car, I need a family friendly SUV... Sigh. I doubt the "helpful Honda folks" will let me take the CRV...

I typically get a new car every 3 years when the warranty expires. Also, I think what you're describing is 10+ years in the future, if not more.

I did test drive the Y. Definitely stiff, though much like the 3, felt more in the back. The question, as others have brought up here, is whether it is the root cause of motion sickness. Bottom line - would you recommend it as a primary vehicle? Assuming you don't have the crv as a backup?

I don't mind the gas stations. Don't smell nearly as bad as the moldy air coming out of my model 3 AC. And I've already changed the filters a few months ago.

Are there any rumors of Tesla improving the suspension? I wonder if it's worth waiting a bit longer. I don't want to mess with aftermarket modifications.
