Yep, me too, got the same call saying my car is now ready and I can pick up tomorrow, I'm picking up from Alexandria at 5pm. They said they would spend 15min walking me through the car etc. I told them that with the number of videos i've watched, i'm probably an expert by now :-).

My delivery was pushed from the 30th August to 4th Sep, and then to 12th Sep due to the 12V battery issue, hoping no further changes as I'm already paying for my comprehensive insurance, and can't change the start date (was told I need to cancel the policy and apply for a new one online).

Yeah, you'd almost need something like the speed limiter mode, where you're unable to take control over from the car at all..

I wonder how it's visible to the outside if you are driving or the car is driving - you almost want some sort of an external indicator that the car is in FSD mode, something like the dog mode warning won't work - as your car will get pulled over first before they notice the display.

Not sure about sleeping while driving - I just want my car to drive me home when I'm drunk so I don't have to play designated driver with my better half :-)

Hmm... I was always planning to get FSD right after delivery to avoid LCT, so I didn’t order it with my unicorn, I’m worried now that with the push out of my delivery date to 12th sep from 30th August, the FSD price will go up... might argue with Tesla in that case to see if I can still get it...

It wasn't on the invoice, but in the email that accompanied the invoice, specifically: "Bank transfer payments must be cleared 2 business days before pickup, and all the bank details are on the invoice." Hope that clears it up :-).

Yes, not exactly in the showroom - but in their delivery centre in Alexandria, Sydney.

They are asking for funds cleared in their account 48 hours before delivery. It takes 24-48 hours to transfer funds depending on the bank. I got the invoice today at lunch after a call at 9:30am, and went to process the EFT request at 4pm. The funds should get to Citibank between 4pm Tuesday...

The best quote I've been able to find is from CBA, around P3- roughly $1500 per year for $1700 excess, with windscreen cover. My car would be parked in a driveway, not undercover, so that generally increases premiums in many places, and some don't even give a quote at all.
