Vancouver, BC Model 3 SR+ Subwoofer installation?

There was an agreed upon group buy over a year ago posted to the Tesla Model 3 Owners Club - Vancouver Facebook Group on Sep 20, 2019 for two options ranging from $1501-1719. That said, I’m sure there have been learnings since then so specs and install may have evolved since then, not to...

Vancouver, BC Model 3 SR+ Subwoofer installation?

I think I posted a year ago in this or a similar thread. A bunch of Vancouver SR owners went to RPM Electronics in Burnaby and had our audio systems upgraded. Most had front door/side mirror speakers and rear deck/shelf speakers activated (with an additional sub), as well as sub-woofer...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

I do expect degradation over time, but to see 8-10% degradation after just 4 months (and 5,000 KMs) of ownership (manufactured in May 2019, delivered June, observed in October) seems a bit sooner than warranted. Will be interested to hear from other similar model owners on their experiences.

Vancouver, BC Model 3 SR+ Subwoofer installation?

The aftermarket amp is only powering the tweeters and rear shelf speakers (the sub has its own amp). Hard to say if the newly activated speakers sound “louder” than the speakers powered by the factory amp, but by nature of placement the overall sound is more immersive and louder. The system...

Vancouver, BC Model 3 SR+ Subwoofer installation?

Just an update on this. I had my SR/SR+ audio system upgraded per above. Added an amp, activated front door tweeters and rear shelf speakers, added bass control and 8” sub. Ended up going with RPM electronics in Burnaby after a local Tesla owner negotiated a group buy discount. ~$1500-1700...

I have that model and software version, and still seem to get regen at 100%. I park in a garage so my battery is still at a good operating temperature despite the cooler temperatures now.

Vancouver, BC Model 3 SR+ Subwoofer installation?

Wondering if anyone else in the Vancouver / BC Lower Mainland has upgraded their Model 3 SR/SR+ audio system and what their experience has been? I’m not technically savvy enough to attempt this myself, but would love to add an amp and 6-8” subwoofer, and activate some of those inactive front...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

This is correct. I’m not sure why they didn’t keep the SR in the lineup at CAN$47k (220 mile/ 352KM range), introduce the SR- at CAN$45k (150KM range), and keep the SR+ at CAN$55k (240 mile/384KM range). This would have qualified the Model 3 for the Federal incentive and all those who...

    Supecharger updates? Burnaby, BC

Has anyone heard anything further on this? Brentwood would make sense given its proximity to the main highway, not to mention plenty of (free) parking in the area. That new commercial & residential development looks to be completing soon, at least the first phase.

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

To quantify how many people actually ordered the Canada 150KM version (SR- as many are calling it here), I spoke to a few Tesla Salespeople at the Vancouver Delivery Centre when I picked up my vehicle in June 2019. They said, on average, they were doing almost 100 deliveries a day (high volume...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

I think everyone has different priorities and situations when it comes to choosing a car. For many it may be range or resale value, but for someone for which this a second car, drives an average of 25KM a day, lives in a mild climate year-round, and who keeps their cars for a long time, it...

Knowing the battery is being software locked at 39% capacity, and from everything I have read, yes. And I do.

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

I took delivery in June 2019 and physically it was a SR+ with leather, power seats, heated front seats, immersive sound, fog lights, but software limited with no satellite maps, no real-time traffic, no Internet browser or music steaming, no ability to manually turn on fog lights. It had 353KM...

I have one as well. Mine shows up as “STANDARD PLUS”.
