That's a good point, but a lot of attendees will want to drive to the event. I heard the drive after the event was a lot of fun. That being said, the best location would be anywhere along the west coast supercharger corridor.

I'm sure the Bay Area and LA have the highest concentration of Model S drivers, so there's no point moving the venue outside of California only to make more people travel.

What year is your SL550? If it's naturally aspirated, you'll be fine and satisfied with an S85. If it's the bi-turbo, you're going to want the P85.

Another thing I'm noticing regarding the map. The font is smaller even with 2x text size. 1x is pretty much unreadable. The traffic lines (red, yellow, green) are a lot smaller too.

I finally got the update yesterday. I was surprised how late I got the notification. I still get the 60A limit message on the display when plugged-in to the HPWC. Sounds like I'll have to get a replacement unit from Tesla.

giants2001 - did you go straight to the Gilroy supercharging stations after Harris Ranch? I would think Harris Ranch to Gilroy would be scarier since you have to go over hwy 152. Tejon Ranch to Harris Ranch is pretty flat.

I've had this problem before and doing the reset did the trick. I had to do this twice because my 3G reception (AT&T) is super weak where I live. I feel like the car gives up searching for a signal after it doesn't find a signal.

Nice, I just got my update. No "Sleep Mode" and my iPod (nano, 4th gen) is still not recognized :( I'll find out tomorrow when I go to work if delayed charging shows a Chargepoint station as available or in-use.

I was there about a month ago. They had 2 roadster chargers. You'll have to go to the Tesla store to get an adapter. This means that you can't charge after hours unless you have this adapter.

This is such a scary thing to do. You're basically driving blind for 30 seconds. Those 30 seconds or so seem like forever because you don't know how fast you're going, and i'm not even sure the indicator (signal) lights work.

+1 That's my situation. I have a gate that leads to my garages 300ft away. Not only does the Homelink menu hop around, the color of the garage buttons changes constantly from green to grey and vise-versa as i'm driving between the gate and garage. I'm just using my old-school garage opener now :)

My Homelink menu keeps appearing and disappearing, it's so annoying. Even after I tap on the Homelink icon. It stays open for like 5 seconds and disappears. It always disappears as I'm about to press the garage button, and I end up pressing on the Navigation app. ARGH!!!!!!!!!

I apologize. The function of the extra calipers on the rear brakes was just a guess. I've never owned a car with an electronic e-brake, so I assumed it was similar to how a manual e-brake works (within the rotor).
