I called Conntek and they are willing to make me a custom adapter that has NEMA 14-50 female on one end and NEMA L14-20 male on the other end. It's probably cheaper to DIY (they are charging me $85) but I don't feel comfortable doing it. Hope it works!

Good catch, Donauker! 'L' stands for twist lock type of receptacles and Tesla only provides non-locking type of adapters. Am I stuck? What's my alternate solution?

Checking the link, it appears that the rate is *only* good if you use their car buying service. Since Tesla is not a traditional car company, I am not sure if this will apply to Tesla purchases. Pls let us know what you found out.
