Mines 60% installed now, keen to check it out!

Damn...I'll continue to impatiently wait. :(

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

The guy was complaining specifically about a high Australian price, but it's the same as what the Americans are paying after conversion. Hey if we end up paying $10 a month that's great, I'm just saying $17 a month seemed reasonable to me anyway.
  4. M

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I can't believe Elon even responded to that, Americans are paying $10USD and old mate reckons it should be $10AUD ($6.36USD) per month. I'm all for paying less don't get me wrong but even at $16.99 that seemed pretty reasonable? You couldn't get unlimited streaming anywhere else for that price.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Sorry I'm not 100% on what you're asking but yeah here's what will and won't work if you have/don't have a subscription to premium. Edit- If you're asking if you still need to pay for Spotify and Netflix the answer is yes.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Slightly off topic but I see they've put an expiry on premium connectivity (Model 3 SR+.) It's $16.99 per month for premium, this can be found in your account.

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

Got the call Monday and picking up Friday in Brisbane, staying down the coast Saturday night (booked that months ago) so looks like we'll be heading down in style!

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

I walked in and bought accessories from the Fortitude valley Tesla store (still don't have the car), I paid on card and there was no mention of needing to put it on my invoice. Must depend on who you get.

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

I've been talking to them as I figured it shouldn't have taken this long. Trade-in has been accepted, registration forms done weeks ago and money sorted and received. They've told me all is done and the next step is the call which like I said was supposedly meant to happen early this week.
  10. M

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

Yeah I've been invoiced and everything and was told it was already in the country two emails ago on 27th nov. (That's not when it landed that's just when they confirmed to me it was here.)

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

Tesla told me I'd "probably" get a call early this week with a delivery date & that didn't happen, at least they're being consistent...man I'll be pissed if I don't get this "September delivery" before Christmas. So jealous of all you folks with your cars already! Can't wait for mine! :)
  12. M

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

What does that mean? I'm not sure if I should Google "polishing the oracle" at work...:D
  13. M

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

I'm with you on this, it benefits Tesla to get these cars out and delivered ASAP and if people start actually rejecting banged up cars they'll need to change their ways. I said the same thing on the main thread (that I won't accept the car if it has defects) and got told I was "tough talking"...
  14. M

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

It's certainly been the most frustrating purchase of my life so far, the lack of communication is infuriating and the last minute delivering of damaged vehicles situation is beyond a joke. I ordered in August and was told a September delivery and still no car...this isn't acceptable treatment...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Regarding the home charger I'm going to call around to see if I can find an electrician who will install a split system as well as the wall charger & possibly do some other electrical work as well. Anyone here in Brisbane killed a few birds with one stone on their installation? If anyone has...

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

I also got a call from pepper today who wanted to go through the application process with me, I told her I'd already been approved months ago and she said something to the effect of "oh...Yeah I can see that, I'll email you the tax invoice request and mark you off as done." Got CC'd into the...

    I'm getting SR+ with FSD

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I emailed Tesla today and this was their response, I've had just about enough of their promises that they know damn well are lies. Months late and the only communication you get is when you get onto them... "Hi I was due for a September delivery which came and went and now it looks like an...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Fair enough whatever their reasons may be, you do you.
  20. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I mean yeah I don't think that they should be delivered if they're scuffed and have issues where the windows don't even work properly. Do you think delivering brand new vehicles with these kinds of obvious defects is acceptable? Because no, not everyone who's driven a model 3 is quite as...
  21. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Damn...So they're still pretty consistent with this deliver first and fix the damage later approach. :(
  22. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

    Who was joking? Haha
  23. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

    Hopefully they didn't mean 2021-2025 :D

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Has anyone found a workaround to download Hulu to their Tesla like how you can switch regions on an Apple TV, PS4, Roku etc to get it?
  25. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I don't even have a VIN yet, at this rate I doubt I'll have it before Christmas! :(
  26. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Tough choice between an older car and a banged up new one...do they get a third option? :D
  27. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, like regardless of whether they have the money or not what are they going to do if you say I'm not taking this dented car? Clearly there's a lineup of people who aren't as fussy with these things so it's not like refusing one would cause them any major headaches...
  28. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I guess I’ll just wait and see what happens closer to the date and deal with whatever happens.
  29. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

No I haven't talked to them nor heard anything from them at all at this stage but it's something I'll have to ask as it gets closer. Did you have to sign a contract to take delivery? I can't see how they'd actually force you to take it if it's not up to scratch.
  30. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

It's not tough talking to simply state that I'm not driving away in a damaged car...I'm not talking about fighting Tyson here. Hell I wouldn't accept an iPhone with a scratch on it fresh out of the shop let alone an 80k car but each to their own. Mate if people want to sign for them with...
  31. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I'd like to think so and I'm interested to hear as well but I wouldn't call refusing a damaged car "talking tough". I've seen people on here taking delivery of cars with literally more cosmetic damage than my 14 year old commuter car...I think the excitement mixed with a long wait is seriously...
  32. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

    Who's we?
  33. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

This wouldn't keep happening if people just refused to sign for damaged cars, I disagree that this is okay in any way shape or form.
  34. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I've waited a long time already and I'll be waiting longer if I find damages to my car because I sure as hell won't be accepting it.
  35. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I can't believe how many people have posted pictures like this so far, absolutely unacceptable for a brand new vehicle. They really need to get their *sugar* together.
  36. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

No VIN and haven't heard anything from Tesla other than a text a couple of weeks ago, I've kept my expectations low because of everything I've read but even still I'm really not impressed with this lack of communication. Clearly I won't have the car in September like they told me when I...
  37. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

You'd hope so, the service levels surely couldn't get much worse.
  38. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yes mate I do have kids, there was a big back and forth off topic discussion about it earlier that lead to the comment you quoted. I know they don't understand about cars that's why I said mine are either inside the house with my partner behind key locked screen doors or if they're outside...
  39. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yeah done, & were you going to quote everyone else who's off topic here as well or just me?
  40. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Haha cool all their mates will be jealous! As will the parents!
  41. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Mine are too small to be trusted around cars alone so they are either inside behind key locked screen doors with my partner or holding her hand in view of me if outside. This is what my parents did and it's what I do now, it's simple and it works.
  42. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Not as much as I'd hoped unfortunately o_O
  43. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Supervising them around reversing cars is a good way to eliminate the risk of them getting run over...
  44. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

You'd be wrong then. What part of what I said was wrong? Do you think kids should be left to play in driveways?
  45. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Still no excuse for the negligent parents running over kids. Kids should either be in the car or watched by an adult, not hanging around unsupervised in a driveway. It seems almost every time it happens the parents jump on the news blaming the car and everything else but themselves. It's so...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Damn that cannot have been cheap!
  47. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yes my workplace has a reverse parking policy too, I still drive nose in and reverse out of my garage (at home) though. My street is quiet and there's plenty of room to see, each to their own.
  48. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Remind me again how you get into your driveway? It wasn't by reversing was it?
  49. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yeah it is. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to reverse safely, plus I'm sure anyone who's negligent enough to run over their own kid or pet could do that as easily in forward.
  50. M

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Not according to this- Is it legal to reverse out of your own driveway?
