It’s always been private access. Larry Ellison had them installed, presumably for his hotel Tesla fleet.

I’ve heard reports of some degradation with this version and it going back some bad habits. So far, everything seems the same for me as last version.

It was never designed as a permanent charger. Just an opportunity to get a supercharger here fast without permits. Sometimes I think we would've been better off without it. Would've been a lot less complaining. lol.

I had that back and forth on dates when I took delivery of my X in Dec 2022. I think for 3/Y, they sometimes try to match up with inventory that comes in or if someone didn't take delivery.

Just saying, the app changed from Valet to Valet AND pay to park (level 2) so why would they change it? Maybe someone takes the up, who knows but just going by what the app says. Guess will have to go there to try it instead of going off what people are saying who haven't even used it yet. lol

Price of paradise! Hawaii has always been an expensive place to live so this doesn't surprise me. 😆 And yes, this will support tourists more (although locals like to have dinner/brunch/holo holo there too) which means that they WON'T be using the Pearlridge charger.

That's still a big question. We'll have to wait until next week to find out how it will work. Will be limiting use for sure if has to go through valet station and not self parking.

Hawaii's first supercharger is on Lanai. But it's only for Ellison's fleet. lol.

I use progressive. $2300/year for 2021 MS Plaid and 2023 Model X. We have homeowners with Statefarm and their quote for both cars was really high so they said to stay with progressive. lol

There are pretty good rebates from Hawaii Energy for condo projects and businesses to install/add new chargers. Hopefully, those incentives are helping getting more chargers installed :) We should be on the lookout for the permits for the first set of NEVI funded fast chargers at Aloha Tower...

I heard HECO is the hold-up.

Tesla should have options for shipping. I think they use Young Brothers. Delivery specialist should reach out to you when car is in Honolulu.

My issues pretty much went away after a week and software update. But I still occasionally notice the sensors not showing on the dash/UI. I've been logging when it happens.

6-stall station is temporary and didn't require a permit since just tapped into existing electrical so that's why no one knew about it. Permanent site is located on the other side of the mall and progress has been stalled with HECO and installing a new transformer. It's literally been 3 years...

Tesla charging team has confirmed it will be available to the public but you'll have to pay for parking to get to it. Waiting on HECO to "flip the switch".

I just sold my 2017 75DX with FSD Beta and software still on car and usable after ownership transferred. And Free Supercharging isn't transferrable unless car was built before March 2017.

It's a numbers game. Maui has the most Teslas after Oahu. Although Big Island makes sense for distance. They're probably next in line.

Agree..am not happy with my delivery issues - FWD and hood not aligned and paint scratches. Haven't been able to drive the car much since delivery since I always PPF my cars once I get them. But they have to fix the hood first before I PPF it. I'm on vacation right now and Tesla has my car so...

I had the same issue with my 2017 X and wouldn't have known except for the one time it was pouring rain and I opened the door. After 5+ years and the refresh, you would think they would have fixed this issue. It only happens on one side so hopefully something they can fix. :)

I noticed FWD gap at top of door. Rain water actually came in on that same side when I opened the door.

My service center says I don't get them but I can file an appeal to get them. WTH. They asked for documents that say I should get them. I said others have gotten them. Waiting for their response.
