I had the exact same issue when my 12V failed. I just waited on the line for a while, finally got them to get the car to tow it to the service center. Then just waited for the process to figure it self out and they texted me when my car was ready a few days later.

How much difference for AWD?

I was debating this but upgraded. Uve paid for the features so not upgrading is a waste to me for potential release of something in the future. Plus u may not even get the 3.5

There has to be a solution for this 12V failure. It’s a big deal if you can’t get into the car (example: you get out and close your driver door and leave ur baby/pet in want to get in but can’t because battery failed). This has lawsuit all over it.

Wait, I think the big question that needs to be asked - $400/month??? Wtf? Thats 5k a year . Unless ur 18 and just got ur drivers License this is weird. If u are 18, why r u driving a Tesla? StateFarm insures me for $75/month.

wow that’s insane , I had to drop my car off at the service center (they towed it there , even tho it started after a 12V jump). Service center is “ordering the part” - been 3 days. At least they gave me a loaner

I didn’t know about the emergency latches - but tried opening with just the button. I think I squeezed the last bit of 12V to do this. Anyway, thanks guys, so helpful. If I was in my car you all would have probably saved me to get out of the car faster than tesla service.

Cities need to adapt to it as well. Make shitty intersections better, make traffic lights readable. Without help from cities, it won’t happen
