    Complaints about Model 3 pricing

Tesla stock $427 today. Was $370 less than a month ago. Why Tesla didn’t let me know back then it was going up? Why Elon so irresponsible? :(

What USB-type flash drive should I purchase for the Tesla Cam?

I think most people prefer not having to clear anything, as that be a closer definition to the phrase - “more than plenty”

What USB-type flash drive should I purchase for the Tesla Cam?

My microSD card was having issues recording, plugged it into a computer and it says I’ve used 122gb for recordings and have 6gb left... Have had it for a little under a year.

    2020.12.5

The biggest concern about the backup camera is - we are assuming that’s not how the computer is reading reality and it’s just a feed/video processing issue.
  7. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

Sounds like something with how HW3 processes the video feed.
  8. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

And you’re saying quality is the same or better?
  9. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

This only holds weight if you tested it with a hw2.5 car.
  10. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

Does anyone actually have a model 3 hw3 with good back up camera quality?
  11. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

That would make sense. The difference in quality was so bad, the probability it was a software issue in which the better cpu had significantly worse quality camera output made little sense. If this is true what is the effect on autopilot? Hmmmm
  12. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

Bump. Model 3 performance hw3 camera still sucks compared to hw 2.5 model 3 back up camera in same house.

Los Angeles one stop shop for PPF, Ceramic and Tints?

Check out Sleek in Reseda. They’re on Yelp too. They do great work, I had ceramic coating done on black model 3 by them and it came out amazing. I’ve seen quite a few model 3’s there for all sorts of work. Ask for Richard and tell him Ron sent you and he will take care of you extra.
  14. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

these 2 quotes confirm the image processing on Hw 3 do cause darker images/less quality images, and it isn’t a hardware issue in terms of the backup camera itself. thank you guys.
  15. R

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

I’ve done that and there is significant difference. The model 3 with hw3 got a little better over past couple updates but the colors are still washed out compared to the one with hw2.5.

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

Update here to my original post above I actually went to a SC (West LA) and had a short conversation with the advisor - they said they would pull the log remotely and review it on their end so I didn’t have to leave my car there. Next day I got this - We have reviewed the timestamp and the...

I need some convincing re: M3 Performance

This. There were some stores letting people take the car out for a few hours on their own too (not sure if this is going on). Sounds like you’ve never been in a Performance EV, so you need to go experience that torque for yourself. Try explaining sex to someone whose only used their hands lol

Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

I agree, I will say that I believe with high probability that the hardware/software can handle it now but wouldn’t be as confident to say it’s the best move for Tesla without knowing what their future software updates will entail. Ive seen older Tesla cars have laggy software as it already is.
  19. R

Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

This would be valid if you’re asking for CarPlay to take over the entire Tesla screen. But as you already know, that’s not how a realistic scenario as to how CarPlay would function on a Tesla if it were a feature.
  20. R

Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

But you don’t know how much of that cpu power is needed now and for future software roadmaps.
  21. R

Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

You're not actually paying attention in detail and you're more stuck in your assumption that you are right rather than actually listening to what I'm telling you. What you showed me was for sure proof that CP can operate using a partial screen - however that is only part of the equation...

you are saying that without providing data, just assumptions.
  23. R

Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

Example of CarPlay functioning in a smaller window? Talking about the hardware isn’t negating anything I said. Are you even sure there is enough resources to run CarPlay that ensures the rest of the software runs smoothly and cohesively? When I say enough, I don’t just mean that literally I...

Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

You guys really don’t understand how software works if you think they should offer Car play or android auto Those features are extremely obtrusive to the software UI, and are you even aware of all the other software (autopilot) that’s already running on the car that would need to function...

Who gives you exactly what Tesla gives you for free? Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

From a business POV, they had to do this and I was actually thinking about this the other day that it isn’t sustainable to offer free wireless connectivity for the lifetime of a car. They’re paying monthly fees for their wireless service, it’s not just a software feature.

  31. R

Bought a P3D- for many reasons - environmental consideration wasn't one of them

this is just reality and exactly why Elon Musk built and marketed these cars the way he does. Gas or not, they must be a better car all around for mass adaptation.

Backup Cam doesn't adjust exposure for night?

June 19 M3P I definitely have the the same issue. I took in the car a few months ago for a separate thing, and mentioned this. They claimed they checked in and it was fine. There is another model 3 in the household, however that is on HW 2.5 while mine is on HW 3.0, and that one is...

  34. R

    Lifetime Wh/mi

Some people just have OCD. I have a June 2019 model 3 performance 20 inch rims and my lifetime is about 300 wh/mi I don’t push it much by my miles are mainly highway (101 & 405) on autopilot.

    OMG that truck is fugly!

And everyone here is philosophically missing the concept of these reservations and are stuck in calculating what reservations = actual sale. That is a simpletons way of looking at the equation.
  36. R

    OMG that truck is fugly!

At $100 I don’t think the rate of cancel will be high as you’re pitching but I also believe the rate of actual purchase would be lower than a $1000. Didn’t model 3 cancellations mount due to the missed timeline of delivery?
  37. R

    OMG that truck is fugly!

You were clearly unaware of all the AirPod memes and initial reaction. You are also underestimating/lack understanding of the concept of change in thought, or the start of a new thought process. You’re putting too much value in your own opinion of the truck. Your philosophical foundation...

Tesla Cybertruck Orders Hit 146K in Two Days

That’s an unbelievably elementary way of looking at it. Everyone was laughing at 200k model 3 reservations too right?
  39. R

Does $8B worth of reservations justify another Gigafactory?

You guys are philosophically viewing the reservation numbers all wrong. It’s not about the exact numbers but the probable potential sales it could create that would lead to momentum in sales. 200k in 2-3 days and then how many in 2 years? Even if 50% don’t buy, the numbers are still great.
  40. R

Does $8B worth of reservations justify another Gigafactory?

VW Net profit margin is 6.4%. Ford is 1%. GM is 6.6%. I could go on. Your suggestion would be a margin of “only” 12.5%. Your marginalization of that generalization shows poor knowledge.

Lol nothing great has ever gotten an initial good reaction. You should follow Apple’s history... or Netflix. Because change in thought is extremely difficult for humans as a whole.
