    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Updated to June 1 - June 9 delivery. Added insurance and made final payment. I do have a question for those who took delivery. Did the car come with the smaller covers for the warp wheels? Where they only cover the holes? Edit - specifically THESE covers (short vs full length)

    FSD on a lease?

This aged extremely well. I got rid of my initial 2019 lease car in 2022 and FSD was nowhere near FSD at the time.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Mine was similar, May 21-June 6. Today it jumped a lot, now July 6-August 10. Is yours still on target for the end of the month? Maybe they did the red ones first!

Seeking help. Brand new M3 got damaged at service center :(

Tesla had to re-align my brand new M3P, stabbed the airbag cover and owned up to it when I picked it up about a month ago. They said they'd send mobile out when they got the part... never heard back and I setup an appointment in the app a few days ago. Mobile service was out within 3 days to fix...

Need help deciding between Performance and Long Range Model 3?

I got a performance, and convinced a friend who said "LR is enough" to go P. If you like crazy fast acceleration the P is your only choice. My old Audi S3 seems slow as hell and it does 0-60 in 4.6. The LR does that in 4.4, the P does it in 3.2. A modern Lamborghini or Porsche 91 Turbo does it...

    Door gap specification

I'd say we match pretty close. It doesn't bother me to be honest, and I'm super anal retentive about this stuff. My crooked tail light pisses me off more, as does the touchup paint the factory put on my bumper in the top left corner. I just noticed that my door handle on the passenger side has a...

How does one straighten a trunk taillight?

@ngogas I think you meant "first world issue". Indeed. It bothers me a little, yes, which is why I ask here!

How does one straighten a trunk taillight?

Can someone shed some light on how exactly I access the trunk taillight to align it? Or CAN I even align it? My right side lights are perfect, my left trunk light is installed too far in and to the right, which creates a noticeable gap on the left, not to mention it looks off as shown below. It...

New Model 3 Autosteer Veers to Left of Lane

Finally having an opportunity to test autosteer here on the 405 freeway. If I'm centered in the lane and enable autosteer, the car always jerks it to the left side of the lane and stays there. Is this normal? If not will it fix itself, or require a technician intervention? I have the latest...

    V10 for non FSD

P3D was just in at Tesla service center, which I picked up at 2:45p. The SC rep checked and said "you didn't get the update yet". Got home and the car immediately prompted me to update. Didn't take long (good wifi) and I'm on 10 now. No FSD, just AP option.

Unpopular Opinion: The 3 is a $30k car and was built as such

I was just saying that they could fix the production issues if they cared to, that's all. A little QC at the factory goes a long way at delivery. There's no excuse for a completely crooked steering wheel, considering I can't even test drive the car. Breaking News: I have to commend my local...

Unpopular Opinion: The 3 is a $30k car and was built as such

@roblab This is not a used car. Why should I have to touch it up? Just saying. I love my car but don't drink the "you should accept a flawed car from the factory because it's so great" koolaid. It would look worse touched up than it would just leaving it. But Tesla should be more careful...

Unpopular Opinion: The 3 is a $30k car and was built as such

I just wish they could deliver a product without issues from the factory. Like mis-alignment/crooked steering wheels, dings, scratches on outer panels and silly gaps due to parts being installed incorrectly (I'm looking at you taillights). I don't think that's a tall ask, considering Hyundai...

Just an update regarding my delivery last Tuesday. I found a few more minor issues, just dropped it off today at Tesla Agoura Hills (nice place, pretty quiet at 11am). Just a quick follow-up on my delivery experience from yesterday. Found a few more QC issues: Trunk left/right gaps are wildly different, one huge, one tiny, easily noticeable. (In spec, right?) Middle of rear bumper not clipping in properly (leaves gap between molding and the painted bumper...

How do I disable the noisemaker in my Tesla Model 3

Just an FYI. Took delivery yesterday, the sound is not annoying or even really noticeable - I dare I say it's actually cool. I didn't notice or mind it at all. With all the hair on fire talk you'd think it's playing Slayer. With that said, I used my wife's cricut with some huge roll of $9.99...

MASTER THREAD: Tesla Insurance Services in California

I take delivery tomorrow, my Travelers insurance wanted $1700 to insure the car per year. Tesla was $1200 with identical coverage, I had no problem obtaining a quote or the actual insurance. I even called to ask a question after purchasing and was immediately picked up. Seems okay to me.

All Model 3s built since 9/1/2019 have a pedestrian warning speaker installed

@calidreamz808 Here is a video. It's really amplified, so don't judge the volume of the sound. Generally people who have taken delivery recently say it's pretty quiet and not too noticeable.

All Model 3s built since 9/1/2019 have a pedestrian warning speaker installed

Can someone measure the speaker grill size? I'm custom cutting some vinyl covers to decrease the sound slightly for when I receive my car. I already did a couple 4" and 5" pieces. Don't want the hassle of disconnecting since it's a lease. I can just take the vinyl off when it's time for turn in.
