Updated to June 1 - June 9 delivery. Added insurance and made final payment. I do have a question for those who took delivery. Did the car come with the smaller covers for the warp wheels? Where they only cover the holes? Edit - specifically THESE covers (short vs full length)

This aged extremely well. I got rid of my initial 2019 lease car in 2022 and FSD was nowhere near FSD at the time.

Mine was similar, May 21-June 6. Today it jumped a lot, now July 6-August 10. Is yours still on target for the end of the month? Maybe they did the red ones first!

They said they'd send mobile out when they got the part... never heard back and I setup an appointment in the app a few days ago. Mobile service was out within 3 days to fix...

Finally having an opportunity to test autosteer here on the 405 freeway. If I'm centered in the lane and enable autosteer, the car always jerks it to the left side of the lane and stays there. Is this normal? If not will it fix itself, or require a technician intervention? I have the latest...

P3D was just in at Tesla service center, which I picked up at 2:45p. The SC rep checked and said "you didn't get the update yet". Got home and the car immediately prompted me to update. Didn't take long (good wifi) and I'm on 10 now. No FSD, just AP option.

@roblab This is not a used car. Why should I have to touch it up? Just saying. I love my car but don't drink the "you should accept a flawed car from the factory because it's so great" koolaid. It would look worse touched up than it would just leaving it. But Tesla should be more careful...

I just wish they could deliver a product without issues from the factory. Like mis-alignment/crooked steering wheels, dings, scratches on outer panels and silly gaps due to parts being installed incorrectly (I'm looking at you taillights). I don't think that's a tall ask, considering Hyundai...

They are just painted silver, which is why they're hella expensive from Tsportline. The cap is polished silver. I like the OEM look but this changes the look to be more like a model S IMHO.

I take delivery tomorrow, my Travelers insurance wanted $1700 to insure the car per year. Tesla was $1200 with identical coverage, I had no problem obtaining a quote or the actual insurance. I even called to ask a question after purchasing and was immediately picked up. Seems okay to me.

Well I just signed up for Tesla Insurance for my delivery tomorrow, same robust coverage as Travelers, but $700 less per year. Even losing our 10% multi car discount ($136), it was well worth it.

@Phlier All my interactions with Tesla have been automated. Never was assigned a human - maybe it's because I'm leasing with Tesla. Even the two text messages were computer generated.

@calidreamz808 Here is a video. It's really amplified, so don't judge the volume of the sound. Generally people who have taken delivery recently say it's pretty quiet and not too noticeable.

Can someone measure the speaker grill size? I'm custom cutting some vinyl covers to decrease the sound slightly for when I receive my car. I already did a couple 4" and 5" pieces. Don't want the hassle of disconnecting since it's a lease. I can just take the vinyl off when it's time for turn in.

@judePIT I love low tech solutions! So I guess this is the "easy" fix? Keeps everyone happy - drivers and pedestrians. I just ordered some matte black vinyl for $10 on Amazon so I can make custom covers with my wife's Cricut.

As there is a small grille for the pedestrian speaker - couldn't one just get some attractive black tape and tape over it? I figure this would tone down the volume substantially but not disable the feature entirely. I do this to my young kids toys all the time, because they are ridiculously...

Not to get all tin foil hat, but what's stopping Tesla from selling/sharing your driving habit data with some big data firm, which in turn provides it to the insurance industry... therefore creating a profile on you for future pricing/liability calculations. I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any...
