FSD City release date keeps getting pushed?

Even better, it also claimed this ability in April 2019, a good six months before smart summon was even publically released.

    Tasker plugin is awesome!

You can do some really cool things with Tasker. Back in the days when I used to commute, I had it set so it would automatically turn on climate when I got to the station before mine (using phone location), so it was nice and warm by the time I got off the train and to my car. It would also check...

Recommend me cool looking aftermarket wheels for all season stock tires?

I've had the R241s in space grey since October, look great and not had any problems. Not sure if it's the tires (Conti Viking Contact 7) or the rims but they are definitely less rashy than the stock combo - tire is ever so slightly proud of the rim.

I don't think the BMW's themselves are offended, just their owners.

Premium connectivity in SR+ After installing 2020.4.1

HW3, Aug 2019. Have sat maps/live traffic. I assume you saw the posts further up the thread about needing to toggle them on using the icons in the bottom right of the map? You may need to hide the music bar to see the icons.

    RWD LR Order?

It says right on the order page: "Standard range production is expected to begin early 2021"

    RWD LR Order?

tl;dr: AWD will likely supercharge quicker in cold climates as the motors are used in a deliberately inefficent mode to warm the battery up to optimal charging temperature. RWD has less capacity to generate heat since there is only one motor. Evidence is anecdotal but backed by sound logic.

    RWD LR Order?

Anyone planning on longer trip in cold climates would do well to read the thread linked below on a less well known benefit of AWD over RWD. For me it's probably more of a selling point than the traction and acceleration aspect of AWD. Slightly off topic for the thread, but just in case anybody...

    Interest in a M3 swap?

Good luck finding a swap - otherwise, perhaps look into a coloured wrap if colour is your main concern.

The cost to fill my Tesla each day

In Ontario at least, some of the fees are fixed (i.e. you pay the same fee regardless of usage) and some are variable (e.g. loss factor, tax). It's surprisingly difficult to find the answer to the question 'how much extra will I pay if I use an additional kwh of electricity' without being a...

Glass roof toughness when removing ice?

When did anybody mention snow? I agree snow flying off cars is incredibly annoying/dangerous and should be removed, but that involves a brush. I'm assuming you aren't concerned about a brush damaging your roof. I had assumed you were talking about the typical winter frost that covers windows and...

Glass roof toughness when removing ice?

It's never even occurred to me to scrape ice off the roof. Why would you need to? Hardly crucial for visibility and the cabin heat will melt the ice soon enough once you get going.

Tesla Mud Flaps / Paint Protection Kit

I stopped by the Oakville SC yesterday - no mud flaps for old cars yet, they are still holding them back for any new cars that come without the flaps. They said to check back at the end of the month. Should have them on just in time for the end of winter...

    Extension cord

Generally good advice, just note that the SR+ tops out at 32A, so you don't get any benefit in terms of charging speed from using the Tesla wall charger over the mobile connector. The LR goes up to 48A.

Feature request - keep car unlocked at home location

I paid more than that for a replacement fob for my 2010 Golf, and that wasn't even a proximity key.

    The Y rear is ugly

Just goes to show we all have different tastes - I don't mind the Audis (except for the silly wannabe ford mustang rear turn indicators), but all the Porsche SUVs just remind me of athletes who retired and got fat.

    Premium connectivity

I'd be delighted if this allows them to delay introducing the subscription charge in Canada for a while. Turning on wifi hotspot for video is no biggie, but turning it on for music every drive would be a bore.

Mods to my Model 3: List yours

I have Continental Viking Contact 7s for my 3 - they are new this year but have great reviews from Europe. Works well for me so far in Toronto and a little cheaper than blizzaks, hakas or x-ice. Personally I think you'd be crazy to spend $100 on wireless charging if money for winter tires is...

    2019.40.2 Canadian Release Notes

We don't have the existing red light recognition either though I think? Even the Quebecois stoped short of changing the traffic light colour convention, so not sure we can blame them here.

    2020 Model 3 and differences from 2019

You got your 2020 Model Y already?! This is an outrage! I pre-ordered on launch day and don't have mine yet. Suing Tesla tomorrow.

AP Suggestion: Maximize Regen distance setting

What has this got to do with the OP's question about autopilot? If you're using any pedals during autopilot, you're doing it wrong.

Just realized my scissor jack won't fit under car with my pucks!

I think we're talking about a jack to keep in the car trunk for use with a spare tire. I prefer not to have hydraulic fluid all over my trunk. My garage floor is another matter :)

    SR+ Federal Rebate

Haven't seen it mentioned here but the liberal platform also included extending the incentive to used EVs, at 10% up to max of $2,000. Of course not everything in the platform will get implemented, but that should be fairly easy for NDP to support as it makes EVs more accessible for those on...

    Model 3 price including taxes?

But subtract $5,000 after taxes for the federal incentive (at least until Monday). Total should be a little under $59k.

3D Maxpider Model 3 Trunk and Frunk Liners in Canada?

I also bought from Joe; at least when I bought them a couple months ago, nobody in Canada carried the frunk and trunk mats, only the footwell mats. I don't use the frunk all that much but I love the trunk mat - looks awesome and folds nicely for access to the subtrunk.

Post delivery issue @ Oakvillle service center

Did the PPF shop apply PPF/ceramic over this area? Seems odd they wouldn't have mentioned it on a brand new car, as presumably fixing it would mess up the coating? Having said that when I picked up my car at Oakville (just two days before you) I was told repeatedly there was no need to inspect...

Reveal your VIN before it appears on your account

You're right - my 422XXX White/Black SR+ 18" has a birth date of 2nd August according to the delivery adviser. So the VINs are really not sequential considering there were a couple identically configured cars with 447XXX on the lot in Oakville - can't imagine they pumped out another 25k cars...

Ontario Buyers: Green Plates vs Normal Plates

I'm looking to buy a Model 3 and would get a green plate - is it straightforward to get a refund on the existing sticker for my blue plate? I have about 18 months left so don't want to lose it! I assume I should say no to transferring existing licence plates on the order page? Thanks

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

Great to see the finance rates dropping. Looks like it's the right time to pull the trigger on a SR+, does anybody in Ontario have a referral code they could PM me? If I get a bunch I'll pick based on contribution to the forums here! Thanks.
