Also just got a text about delivery (Dec 29); ordered on 24-Nov; white ext, back interior, no options. They're wanting us to take delivery at the factory even though we requested home delivery down in the Monterey area...

Well, I'm back to having a date range for delivery (I had a date range, then it switched to 3-6 weeks after order date, and now it's back to a date range). Est. delivery=Dec 18-31. No VIN still. LR, White/Black, ordered on 11/24.

Similar situation here. Ordered on 11/24 (White Model Y LR Black Interior), delivery estimate was (I think) 12/16-12/31, now I show "3-6 weeks from order placed date".

Got my invite. Reserved under my dad's account (Model S owner) on the 1st day (Palo Alto store) and live in the Bay Area. As tempting as it is, not sure I'm going to follow through though.

I just got an email today saying that someone who I didn't know used my referral code to order a Tesla, and as long as they take delivery, we'll be able to get one of the Radio Flyers too. Fingers crossed this goes through as Tesla actually brought a fleet of these to our club's 4th of July...

My instincts would say Model Y, but Elon gave the same timetable for both during his most recent Twitterstorm--a 'few years' away. Can't get much more specific than that ;) My bet is Model Y goes into production in mid-2019; new Roadster by end of 2020 (at the earliest). Would love to be proven...

Anxious to see what you end up listing it for. Green + tan is an awesome combo and I've been debating whether to really get a Model 3 or just go for the Roadster (I'd like to have a convertible in my stable...). Anyway, GLWS whenever you decide to list it.

I don't know nearly enough about battery chemistry and supercharging, but would having two smaller batteries (e.g 2 60kWh for a total of 120) increase the supercharging time given the whole 'don't want to fill a glass too quickly at the top' metaphor?

If this is truly the case, and Tesla is making adjustments to the discount amount based on the condition that the inventory car is in, then they should share whatever that condition categorization is on the site--especially if they aren't going to bring all inventory cars up to the same standard...

FYI--I swung by Peter Hay Hill during my run today. Tesla has everything set up and ready to go; a Model X, Model S, and a skateboard (I'm assuming a Model S one) in the tent, a Model X on display outside, and then a bunch of Teslas ready to go out for test drives (good mix of Xs and Ss)...

I'm really proud of everyone on this thread, we've made it 40+ posts without anyone asking if the order in which folks are receiving their token of appreciation is an indication of where they're at in line ;) Also, I wonder if the people who reserved two Model 3s will get two sketches...

Annoying is probably a bit of an overstatement, but they can get tedious if you have to stop multiple times in one day (in my opinion). However, you know from the get-go that they're going to happen, so you either accept it as part of the journey, or find alternative travel plans (ICE, plane, etc.).

I had a loaner about 3 weeks back and it also wasn't speed limited.

They just put up their 'Introduction' today. They got it with Ludicrous but didn't get the white seats (which is too bad; it would've been interesting to see how those would hold up).

I went to the Palo Alto store (on El Camino NOT Stanford) and arrived around 7:45 or 8am. Based on what I heard, I was ~80th in line, and I was through the reservation process by ~10:20am. They had a pretty efficient set-up; I'd guess 10+ employees taking reservations on computers, iPads, etc.

In regards to the range differential, Motor Trend is quoting the EPA numbers, which does report only a 3 mile drop between the Model S and Model X P90Ds.

Yeah, it looks like I spoke a bit too soon too. Both Model 3 reservations now show up in MyTesla (but no clear indicator which of the two is the 'priority' reservation for being a Model S owner).
