Last time they told me my 2013 can't take the MCU2. Is that not true?

I've had my third MCU die today. Original lasted 3.5 years, refurb they put in 2.2 years, next refurb lasted 1.3 years. This is getting stupid.

Sorry been offline for a few days. Well they were custom ordered from Home I'm not sure exactly how much they were yet, but it was around $250-$300 each. Some variations are made to order and take 2-3 weeks. Others are ready to go from what I understand.

Same on 680 (which is mainly what I drive), I thought it was working in the rear tailgate window; saw no charges for a month, then suddenly they appeared and showed it tagged my plates vs. the flextag. Annoying. Tesla really needs to fix part of the windshield to allow a signal through.

Just put three of these in the garage, the reels in between bays allow you to share the plug between two cars parked in opposite directions. It works well in my case with the longer cord, extra cordage goes up into the ceiling hidden in the unused attic above the garage.

I got one of those too, several years ago, but my 2013 allowed me to strap it inside the nose cone, which I guess you can't do. I wouldn't use it if I had to put in in the front. In fact, Tesla service put it in for me behind the nose cone. I don't understand for the life of me why FastTrak...

Not sure about that. I agree that Android's >70% market is probably not distributed that way for Tesla owners, I can't imagine it being less than 50%. I know many Tesla owners and most of them do use Android smartphones.

If you have an Android device, LastPass can enter your password for you right into the app, you just need to use your LastPass Password Manager PIN. It's pretty cool.

The same way Remote Desktop, Airplay, VNC, etc work. They were all software based. As long as Tesla can render a container client it could communicate all the pertinent info to the phone to render properly with all processing done at the phone.

They should make it a setting in the interface, i.e. "Are you willing to try beta or early release firmware updates?" I guess they'd need to do an update to provide the choice :)

Glad it worked, I went nuts trying to figure it out. Hopefully they work out the issue on the LastPass side. I actually am now using Dashlane so.less of an issue for me in the longer term.

I had that problem a while ago and it turned out to that it was the password manager Lastpass. It has a custom android keyboard and if it is active it crashed the Tesla app. Not sure why. To test go into Android settings and Accessibility and turn off all items and see if it still crashes...

Yeah when I had the issue it showed 16 / 40. Anyway, last night it was back to normal drawing 40/40. The only thing I did was reset the HPWC. Don't know if that or a better connection led to the fix... Regardless all good now!

There is a dip switch inside the high power wall connector that identifies the max amperage you can draw based on your breaker size. Mine is a 50 amp breaker so I set the switch for 50 and it draws 80% of that so I should gt a reliable 40 amps.

I have a HPWC at 40amps. I did check the dip switch and it's set properly. I should try the UMC to see if I can get the full draw.
