Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
The black trim / side panel (the one that butts the door) comes off giving you access to the internals of the dash in that area. You could probably find a way to zip tie that end a bit more snug.
The fix was found. I believe they jammed a bunch of goo/glue into the pinch weld as shown:
Service ticket shows the following:
I can confirm the noise is no longer present.
I'm continuing the fight to find this ****ing cracking noise. Here is a wonderful video showing the noise:
It seems to be coming from within this small cavity here:
I've taken the entire wheel well apart to see what's on the other side...
What you see is where the interior condenser assembly meets the firewall to connect to the condensate drain tube on the other side of the firewall in the frunk area.
It's behind this mess indicated by the arrow in the following picture:
I've already checked the drain tube and it is clear of...
I've got a cracking noise when accelerating/decelerating from this area underneath the plastic kickplate and foam floor seen on the passenger side.
I haven't been able to get under the foam yet.
I have it on mine. Very noticeable when doing a uturn. The harsh turn followed by hard acceleration to beat traffic makes it show up pretty bad.
The car defaults to low on every drive. I sometimes throw it in very low, and it helps the issue not be as bad, but it always reverts on the next...
Fold up a kitchen towel and place it exactly where I did on both Falcon doors and see if it helps the issue. Close the door on the towel. This puts pressure on that area.
I've got a service visit in a few weeks to address the same thing and I narrowed it down to this area. I just don't know...
I got mine done in Tampa. I didn't expect a perfect job, and it wasn't. Overall I am happy.
They told me they used to remove the mirror and wire guideway, but in the refresh models they don't due to delicate equipment in the mirror housing. There is a small gap. It is not noticeable unless...
I have that too. Seems to be typical.
I imagine they will change the layout in the future and move icons closer to the center of the screen to avoid this.
The old displays don't have the frosted edges like the new displays do so I think that's where the "bugs" happened.
Change your tire size...
I wish the touch pad to open/close the door on the inside door handle was an actual button like the lower models instead of a touch sensitive pad. With no feedback I am always having to check if the door closed behind me as I exit and tap it.
This is what I see when I change the wheel sizes to force a reboot. It looks like mine probably isn’t broken and is just poor design where they put the TACC speed indicator.
Does yours look like this?
I feel like the Active Noise Reduction did nothing before .16 and now I can hear the slight difference when I toggle it.
Edit: And the turn signal fault message seems to be gone now.
After having a Model 3 with FSD, I did not buy the $12k FSD with my 22 MX.
I would, however, buy/subscribe to enhanced autopilot. I sorely miss triggered lane changes.
Is this sort of distortion around the edges of the display normal?
On the sides, it makes it almost impossible to see the cruise control speed during the day.
I already submitted a service request, just seeing if it's normal or not from other owners.
I've got this on my brand new MX. I verified the turn signals work fine so it's probably just a bug. Barely happens,. and not really noticeable so whatever. I added it to my big initial post delivery service request.

Please report back. I have 3396xx coming, curious to know. No biggie if it doesn't for me. I will probably manually adjust.
Edit: Looks like someone else on here already got theirs with 3396xx and it did not.
What are the details of your case? Mine just got moved yesterday from the Birmingham AL rail yard to Marietta where it awaits repairs. I only found out today the reason after I basically begged for more information.
Surprising absolutely nobody, my car is stuck in Marietta GA because of a firmware hold. And the windshield is busted and needs to be replaced.
Why they sent it to GA instead of my local delivery center is anyones guess.
My frustration cannot be described.
Got an update 2 hours ago my car was at the Kennesaw, GA Tesla store which means it's on the truck and making a pit stop, probably to drop off other cars.
Now just wondering if the driver will be able to make it down to Florida from the origin of Birmingham, AL within his 11 hour driving...
How far are you from your store? I keep going down there and asking for updates. They can see where the car is located. If my car isn't being delivered tomorrow I am expecting a call today like I got on Tuesday.
I visit my store regularly because it's a shortcut around the BS phone system they have. Depending on who's there, I can get more information.
I am always as pleasant as I can be since they're just doing their jobs and that seems to help.
I was told my car was in Alabama and in-transit on...
I am having a really hard time with Tesla communication right now. I got a VIN and someone on my text thread said it was not supposed to be assigned to me and that it had safety concerns. I've had it for a few days and even got a delivery scheduled for Wednesday after I was told it was no...
I asked for more information on my order today over SMS. They said I wasn't supposed to be assigned that VIN that it's being sent back for safety concerns.
A few minutes after that, I get an automated text telling me to schedule my delivery appointment.
So now I have a VIN that is supposedly...
My July 2022 date just dropped, now says May 01 - May 06 and I have my first MX VIN!
Merritt Island Delivery.
Edit:
Looks like I celebrated a bit too early. Being told this specific car is being sent back to Tesla for repairs. They are working on another VIN.
