    EU finalize and deliveries

Yes, but also no USS. The lack of USS is going to be a dealbreaker for me if they aren't replaced by something that is functionally equivalent.

    About that "yoke" steering wheel

Read the manual, the horn can also be activated by using the palm of your hand to press all the buttons on that side of the steering wheel. I have serious reservations about the yoke, but it frustrates me that the discussion is constantly ruined by people making strawmen issues that don't...

my S is a different car in winter vs. summer

Speaking as someone who lives in Northern Norway (well north of the polar circle), freezing rain is a contradiction, it's either rain or it's freezing, but it's not both at the same time. I've frequently taken my Model S on roadtrips in temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius and this works fine...

    Norway service?

I think this article sums up the situation in Norway nicely: Tesla’s difficult service situation in Norway is a scary glimpse at potential future in other markets, Tesla says it’s on it I would add that the service situation varies a LOT depending on where in Norway you live, the service centers...

    Original Model S Wheels?

That was a rather helpful reply, but note that the list above is not complete,it's missing the aero wheels and I believe there was also a small batch of grey cyclones produced, I don't think they ever showed up in the configurator, but some people received them when buying winter tires from...

This Model S 40kwh Price is crazy..

Not necessarily wrong, a lot of the early Model S' had problems with parts of the mirror housing oxidizing. Tesla made the decision to offer power folding mirror retrofits at a deeply discounted price to the affected customers. A fair number of early Model S' therefore actually do have power...

    Firmware 6.0 (beta version discussion)

I'm rather shocked by the fact that you'll be able to start the car with the mobile app, is this really a good idea? Convenient, but worrying from a security standpoint.

    Norway - Wow

Speaking of Norway, this weekend 399 EVs were gathered in a single parade: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbfybfw3-YE Since we're all Tesla fans here you might want to skip to 8:30.

Model S - Car Of The Year in Norway

The vehicle registration data for November was released earlier today. 527 new Tesla Model S' were registered in November, this makes the Model S the second most popular car with a market share of 4,4%. The most popular cars were: VW Golf - 666 (It's official, the Golf IS the devil ) Tesla...

Tires on 19" wheels in Europe?

Think about what you just wrote, yes, they are good ALL-SEASON tires, but the compromises inherent to all-season tires make for subpar summer tires and useless winter tires. What we want is proper summer tires, for the winter we have a seperate set of dedicated winter tires. In this context...

It also depends on your configuration, for example, the child seats and double charger both add weight.

Word is that there will be a 3.3 second car soon!

They will probably use 2 motors, not 4. Easiest solution is probably to add a smaller motor to the rear of the frunk. Remember that the motors will only draw more when accelerating, not when cruising, also the use of two motors allows them to use different gearing without the use of a gearbox...

Word is that there will be a 3.3 second car soon!

Remember, with AWD the back tires won't break loose. Improving the acceleration of the P85 by any meaningful degree requires AWD.

Word is that there will be a 3.3 second car soon!

This has to mean AWD, there have been rumors floating around of one in the works for some time now.

60kw upgrade to 85kw, Was told by multiple Tesla Sources not possible at this time.

Given the cost of the battery pack it would probably be cheaper to sell the 60 and buy a new 85.

Official opening of SuperChargers in Norway Aug 30th

Why not? A SuperCharger is 12 standard 10kW chargers connected together, plus some wiring and a computer to run it. Since Tesla sells the optional second charger for $1.500, including profit margin, this works out to $18.000 plus the cost of the computer and wiring. The installation, including...

    elbilforum.no blocking certain IP addresses

I didn't know that they had instituted a blanket ban of all asian IPs, sad to hear that. Even so I think you are perhaps exaggerating a little, remember that you really do need to be able to read norwegian to get much use of the forum, but if you don't have access to a usable VPN service you...

    Yacht Floor

The target is 25% profit margin in total, not per each individual option. P.S: Look up the price tag for a yacht floor in the boot of a Mercedes CLS, now that's price gouging.

It seems that 5 Model Ses have already been sold/registered in Norway in July 2013!!!

The list tracks registrations, not sales. I'm fairly certain that the 5 Model S' are the Eu spec demo cars that were delivered to the Oslo store in early July.

It's also possible that the euro-spec cars simply aren't ready yet and that they need an extra 2-3 weeks. For a decently, but not all that well, specced 1,4l 122hp Golf that sounds about right, if you're willing to go for the 85hp model with no options they can be had for as cheap as €33k. You don't want to know what the GTI and R versions cost, really, you don't! Regarding the European pricing of...
