    Supercharger - Ellensburg, WA

Tried to charge at Ellensburg supercharger today, but one was out of service, the rest in use, and a lineup of folks (> 5) waiting for their chance. Tesla navigation was recommending this stop??? I drove back to Cle Elum even tho I was heading east instead of waiting thru that mess. Not sure if...

Supercharger - Cle Elum, WA (LIVE Dec 2018, 12 V2 stalls)

Did this fall thru or are you still on track to take this over? I was there today and print out on the wall said last day they will be open is August 31st unless there is a buyer.

    What's your 90%?

Well that was short lived -- charged to 90% last night and only got 209 rated miles.
  4. B

    What's your 90%?

So after reading what wk057 had to say about balancing happening once the battery hits ~93%, I did a charge to 95% and then drove it over a few days until I got to around 50 rated miles left. Then I did a 90% charge. I did regain some miles -- went from 211 to 214 rated at 90% (but was at 206...

Heat / HVAC on 7.0 - poor performance?

Same heating issue (lack of) here and I am an early vin (1776). Also, took forever for front heating defrost to work tonight (in Seattle area as well)

As UI Slowly Gets Unsnarled ... Got Reminded Today of the Bigger Picture

Absolutely agree. Might hate some minor things, but I always look forward to the updates -- just too cool. Love it.
  8. B

    What's your 90%?

Well, I did increase from 206 to 210 by charging to 90% regularly (or maybe it's the new firmware updates or some recent trips that exercised more of the battery for calculations or ...). @Sparrow and I have similar #'s, but I believe we are the worst of the 85's.
  9. B

    What's your 90%?

Was told the same by my SC. I'm not convinced that my battery is "operating as designed". I just keep hoping they find something as they look at my car's logs every so often. (A pack, 85kWh, 18k miles, 210 rated miles at 90%, on 7.0)

Adios: Stepping back from TMC and likely Tesla in general

Just wanted to add my "thanks" to @wk057. All the best to you.
  11. B

    What's your 90%?

I have never been close to 0 (maybe 20 miles left), charge to 60% typically but have been trying 90% for a few weeks (have tried this off and on for a while now), rarely charge to 100% but did so this weekend (verified still horrible), and my daily commute is small maybe 20sh miles/day. I have...
  12. B

    What's your 90%?

I have the exact same numbers as @Sparrow (2012 P85, 17k miles). Hate it and no relief from my constant pinging of tesla service center.

    Supercharger - Ellensburg, WA

Charged this weekend, first time just me and no stalls ICEd. I think the cones help a bunch. Coming home, full stalls (none ICEd) and three of them were Tesla employees (2 washington dealer plates and one california mfg plate). Working weekends...hmmmm.

Favorite electronic (for a 6 year old)

So I thought I would share a quick story about my daughter attending her first TechSmartKids (introduction to coding) class. The instructors went around to all the kids asking for their favorite electronic device and you get the usual suspects -- leappad, ipad, kindle, etc... -- then it comes...

  16. B

    Decreasing rated range.

I think you might see a big change with 1.67.28 version of 6.0. I did. I went from 208-210 rated miles @ 90% to 237.
  17. B

    Firmware 6.0

Just installed .28 version of 6.0 and my rated and ideal miles are way different (accurate??). I used to get only 208-210 rated miles at 90% on a babied p85 w/ 12k miles (dec 2012 delivery) on original 6.0 release, but now i'm already at 226 rated miles at 85% (still doing a test 90% charge)...
  18. B

    Decreasing rated range.

Dec 2012 but with only 12k miles and a babied battery. I have contacted ownership and the SC assures me things are ok (checked logs). Sounds like an algorithm issue might affect "some" of us but they prefer any folks to not self diagnose individual battery issues and reach out to their SC if...

    I'm at 231 but I haven't done a full charge since 6.0 was installed.
  20. B

    Decreasing rated range.

After reading this thread, I decided to do a 90% charge (normally do 60% each day and only drive 30 miles/day) and see what I would get. I am an early VIN (1776) but only 12k miles and have a P85. Not sure I like my results and not sure this can all be explained by algorithms and balancing...

Is this a new feature? (Aw shucks, no it isn't)

The usa today web page on the main screen helps us here. The Silva Franklin II ad is from June 2012 (UFC 147 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Pretty sure this is quite old.

The Test: Seattle -> Lake Easton -> Coeur d'Alene

Just recently made the Ritzville to Ellensburg segment (Sept 1, 2014) so I thought it might help others to see more data points on energy usage for that leg. I used evtripplanner.com with a 1.05 speed multiplier (I have a P85 w/ 21's). The calculated data from that was 112.9 real miles, 149...

    Love Note!!!

Found this note on my car while parked in my garage. A bit creepy that they must have walked into my open garage door and placed this under the windshield wiper, but cool anyway. Folks just love these cars, which I fully understand. :)

    Seattle to Mount St Helens

Cool, thanks PhilBa. I get 72 miles from google maps (1200 Lum Rd, Centralia, WA 98531 to Johnston Ridge Observatory - Google Maps), but still easily doable I think.
  28. B

    Seattle to Mount St Helens

Well, I will let you know how it goes. Hopefully someone has already done the supercharger to St. Helens and back to supercharger route (or great wolf lodge with charging options???) and can chime in. Should be doable, but not sure about the elevation gains.

    Seattle to Mount St Helens

Anyone done a trip to Mount St Helens from Seattle and back? We may try to do it as a day trip or we may be willing to stay somewhere in between for a night. Can we do a full charge at the Centralia supercharger each way and have enough range to not stress a small side trip when at the visitor...

    3G Pricing - Speculation

I agree with the general sentiment of this thread and hope Tesla wakes up and takes notice to this real or perceived nickel and dime'ing. Why not start charging for supercharging, at least it will provide a mechanism to control usage when they start to get congested. Better model to make back...

(Some) adapters now available for purchase

no kidding, I was going to pull the trigger on a 6-50 but that shipping cost is ridiculous. If the service center can't get me one for closer to the 45 bucks I'll probably end up doing it, but I won't like it.

    Front License Plate Solutions

I went the zip-tie route. I mounted the plate holder (tesla supplied) upside down and used three zip-ties. Had to take the nose cone off to get the top two ties nice and snug with the third one below. It doesn't move at all, the actual plate attaches nice and flat, and it doesn't seem to...

    Model S Software/Firmware Updates

I just got the 1.17.52 update and my car is also displayed incorrectly. Is there an email address that folks use to send in requests like this? Doesn't seem a big enough deal to make a call and bother folks but would love to have it updated, especially if it's an easy remote update.

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

Model S Delivery Dates and Sequencing

Thanks Brian. Those are all shots my wife took at the Seattle location on westlake. Fun location and great staff (some sent over from bellevue store), even dealing with construction that crippled their showroom location. Just absolutely loving the car -- game changer for sure.
