EAP Autosteer on 2024.3.10 single stack?

Turn off Automatic Set Speed Offset in the Autopilot settings and it will behave more normally.
  2. ptronus31

EAP Autosteer on 2024.3.10 single stack?

Thanks, I knew it was old and it has been years since any upgrades or enhancements. I guess so old it does not even have a version number!

EAP Autosteer on 2024.3.10 single stack?

So if EAP is not FSD V11 highway stack (which I am certain it is not), what version is it (currently)?

    Missing Supercharger credits/miles

Contact your Tesla SA. No one on here can fix it. Only Tesla can fix it.

Drivers and passenger door not opening fully

What is the passenger door behavior?
  6. ptronus31

Drivers and passenger door not opening fully

Driver's door jam has the build placard with all sorts of good stuff on it, including build date. It only lists month and year, but I know it was in local inventory on April 8, and it is marked as a 4/23 build, so it must have been early April.

Drivers and passenger door not opening fully

Second this. Also early April build. Same behavior. The FWDs work fine and as expected in tight places.

Did anyone go from a Raven to the refresh? Thoughts?

Well, I have to agree this is stupid, but the plan is to replace both the door sensors and bumper sensors with vision in a software update "coming soon" (Elon time).
  9. ptronus31

Can you keep all 4 tires the same size for 2017 MX?

The wheels are different widths front to back, so that might weigh in here. The right way to do it would be to buy front wheels to replace the rears so that they are the same all around. This may affect towing, loading and handling, however.

Model X price cuts- yet again

This is a very astute observation. Thanks!

Model X price cuts- yet again

I'd say you are in the minority. Tesla knows that and would have to have some way of offering options AND the tax credit.
  12. ptronus31

Model X price cuts- yet again

Unless you want ONLY the white/black 5-seat, 20" wheel model to qualify, they would have to drop the price to around $75k to allow for a few options, at least. $75k in the current config will never happen. Perhaps a de-contented version (RWD, removal of premium features, etc), but not the...

Would <$80k MX get US tax credit?

It would have to be well under $80k to allow customers to select common options (non-white paint, more than 5 seats, etc.). I don't think they would do $79,990 for a white/black 5 seater.

HW4 and Phoenix Radar Build Dates

This change is for Model S only.
  15. ptronus31

Model X price cuts- yet again

You can look for yourself. Last week there was around 1,060 cars nationwide. Today I see 1,114. https://tesla-info.com/for-sale/US/MX/?state=All&sale=New&variant=LR&sort=PA&min=0&max=9999999&minyear=2023&maxyear=2023&search=

Drivers and passenger door not opening fully

My experience looking at new refresh Model X at the local store is that the doors on HW3 cars open all the way and that the HW4 cars doors do not.
  17. ptronus31

HW4 Inventory models already being discounted?

I think it is way more likely to be an upcoming price cut and/or introduction of a less full-featured model, maybe even to get it below the $80k tax credit threshold?
  18. ptronus31

How to tell if new car has HW4?

I was told my my SA to look at the cameras themselves (on the pillars and fenders). If the lenses have a red tint to them they are the HW4 cameras. If the tint is gray/green they are HW 3

    Supercharger - Mariposa, CA (LIVE 12 May 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

I stopped by yesterday and got a few pics, this being the best. It sure looks to be within a week or two of completion.

Moving from San Diego to Vancouver WA

Actually, it is $0.0816 24/7! Amazingly cheap. Solar is on the order of a 20-year return on investment.
  21. ptronus31

    Supercharger - Pendleton, OR

I totally agree. In the common wind between The Dalles and Pendleton, this is often a challenging stretch. Tesla needs to put a 250 somewhere in between. Until then, another great option would be the release of Tesla's CCS adapter in the US.
  22. ptronus31

Supercharger - Madras, OR (LIVE Jul 2022, 8 V3 stalls)

Note that the numbering/lettering is not always in numerical order. For example, the south stalls in Springfield, OR are set up as 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 1B, 2B, 3B, 4B. So, the person you are parked next to is not sharing power with you - the person 4 stalls down is. Strange and confusing. Just...

How to get a Tax exemption on Wall Connector?

I bought mine from Tesla online. After receiving it, I emailed them the form and they refunded my sales tax a few days later.

OK, thanks. I still just see an order number. I'll be patient.

Deciding to Delay Delivery until Battery Day

We had the exact same plan, message yesterday and good outlook for the plan coming together! We don't have a VIN listed, did you have to look in the web page source code to find yours?

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I will be making the trip from Reno to Klamath Falls next month. It is a long, dry run (about 260 miles). Will stop at the Susanville Red Lion for an hour of destination charging. It sure would be nice if it was a SC!

    Supercharger — Baker City, OR

What TACC distance do you set for drafting a semi? I have never done it for fear of rock chips on the hood.
  29. ptronus31

    Supercharger - Kelso, WA

Amps? You mean KW? Centralia is 150kW max. Chademo is 50kW max. What was your state of charge? If more than about 40% you won't see 250kW at a Gen 3 Supercharger.

WA state campsites w/ electricity (NEMA 14-50?)

It is 13 miles from the turnoff of the highway up to Hoh.
  31. ptronus31

WA state campsites w/ electricity (NEMA 14-50?)

You said you were going to Hoh rain forest. You will be just a few miles from Forks when you go there. It is a Gen 3 250kW station.
  32. ptronus31

WA state campsites w/ electricity (NEMA 14-50?)

So how about the new Supercharger in Forks?
  33. ptronus31

WA state campsites w/ electricity (NEMA 14-50?)

Just tent camp in the RV camp loop (B). All of those sites have electric. Also, there is a Supercharger in Forks now.

Supercharger - Vancouver, WA - NE Vancouver Mall Drive

Stopped by this afternoon (I was curious myself). They are all still dead. Superchargers were very busy, though!
  35. ptronus31

    Supercharger - Kelso, WA

I was there several weeks ago. Most definitely V3.

Tips / costs for buying in Seattle / WA State

Tesla models under $45,000 DO qualify for the sales tax exemption. This includes the Model 3 SR & SR+.
  37. ptronus31

    Supercharger - Olympia, WA

With a new Supercharger just down the road in Tumwater a few miles, I don't see this becoming a Supercharging station. Maybe a set of destination chargers or even 72kW Superchargers, but nothing for road tripping.
  38. ptronus31

Traffic light and stop sign control greyed out

Your car needs to be in Park to activate. Also, I believe you have to have purchased FSD Capability.
  39. ptronus31

    Supercharger - Kelso, WA

Went by this afternoon about 5:00. Still no power. What a nice location and setup, though!
  40. ptronus31

    Supercharger - Portland, OR - N. Pavilion Ave. (LIVE Jul 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Honestly, the purpose of Superchargers is not to serve those who cannot charge at home. It is to serve road trippers. That is why most Superchargers are NOT in urban areas, but on the outskirts and along major highways.
  41. ptronus31

Do they sometimes limit supercharger speed?

Charge speed is also dependent upon your battery's state of charge (SoC). From about 10-50% you should see full speed on a normal Supercharger. Above 50% it will drop off and around 90-95% it will drop to near Level 2 charger speeds.
  42. ptronus31

best car hand wash detergent and wax combo for detailing ?

Detergent soap will remove all trace of any wax on your paint. If that is what you are aiming for (a fresh surface to wax), then use it. Otherwise, use non-detergent car wash soap. Once washed, I highly recommend using a clay bar kit to remove any physical contaminants on the paint before waxing.

Supercharger - Vancouver, WA - NE Vancouver Mall Drive

I stopped by today and the Superchargers are certainly up and running. However, the Destination chargers all appear to have no power (I only checked a couple but no lights on any of them).

I went by there today and all 8 destination chargers have Telsa plugs on them.

Supercharger - Vancouver, WA - NE Vancouver Mall Drive

Stopped by this afternoon. Talked to electrician working the site. He said power should be on in a few days, then we will be waiting for inspections from the utility. He thought for sure it would be open by the end of this month. Also, it is clear in the first picture that the lines will be...
