    4WD doesn't mean you're invincible

Since his reverse light was on from the top all the way to the bottom. Would the Tesla even allow the wheels to rotate in the opposite direction of travel. I’ve never tested once hold mode has released the handbrake will the car roll back. It would have taken a lot of presence of mind to put...

3 Children in the rear of a Model S?

One option is to get a multimac not cheap but they resell on eBay really well. I have one in my Model 3 for my 7 year only and 5 year old twins and they love it. Super club pic from the Multimac website (model 3)

    Bike rack drain

Northshore racks are vertically orientated but only available in the US Scorpion Racks - High quality mountain bike racks do a UK version, but been out of stock for a while and only compatible with MTB fork crowns. I used use a Gran Fondo Transport Rack for years and it was pretty good on...

    Found this on my drive.

Possible theories based on what’s been on the drive, discounted a vandal as nobody has triggered the CCTV except for us and the postman (and he normally only leaves elastic bands) 1 - from the Tesla 2 - from our other car 3 - from the kids scooters 4 - from the postman 5 - from the sky?!?

    Found this on my drive.

Didn’t track done the source of that screw (still have it) but just found another identical screw this time embedded in my front left tyre! Wtf! now looking for a local garage who’ll do a repair on an acoustic or it’s looking like £200 at Kwik-Fit fit or £280 at Tesla to fit a new tyre.

Happy Wednesday Everyone - Nail in Tyre

Anyone know of a Garage in Manchester or North west to do a puncture repair on an acoustic tyre tried the regular big brands and they won’t touch it :(

    Found this on my drive.

Found this hex screw on my drive where I normally park. It looks similar to the screws in the pictures people have shown of ripped under covers. Any ideas how many screws should be on the bottom of the car and where so I can check if I am missing one?

    Meanwhile, at Grantham...

I found the same at Birch services before Christmas saw a guy with an i3 plugged in before we went into services. Came out 20 mins later and he was still there but with car manual out and now he was using his own cable daisy chained to the supercharger. He was adamant it was going to work even...

    Epic Fail

sounds like a nightmare but hopefully an easy fix. Is it literally undrivable or can you limp it home when it’s like this. If this happens to my wife she’ll probably never want to drive it again.

    V3 Supercharger Rollout

The street chargers in Coventry now have vehicle detectors so if there is a vehicle parked in the bay but no one charging I assume they send a traffic warden over. Vehicle Detection Sensors They could do this at Superchargers but it would be better if people could just be considerate of other...

Going for type1 to type 2 adapter

I picked up this adapter, again for the same reason that my PHEV visitors could continue to use the type 1 and I could also sell this on should I move to a house with a type 2 fitted. I preferred that it was a bit more compact. Type 1 > Type 2 Converter

Dyson cancels the electric car projects!

Elon invested everything in Tesla and nearly lost it all. I think Dyson has probably looked at it and realised he doesn’t want to take that same level of risk.

    Sentry Mode - Use sparingly!

It would be a great idea to use the ultrasonics as well. I think the current version only uses the cameras. The blink cameras I have at home use a PIR and only when it senses motion does it wake up the camera and WiFi. It can last a year on two lithium AA batteries. Perhaps Tesla could do the...

Just found that my new Model 3 has been keyed. Anyone else?

This is terrible, what a nightmare not looking forward to this part of model 3 ownership. I used to get scratches on the front wings of my leaf but put that down to people leaning over it to look at it charging when it was nose in to the charger at the public NCP. I don’t understand why anyone...

    Underground driveway charger?

This one is more compact but not electronic. The pics show some interesting setups where the cable is routed through a hole in the ceiling. 30A EVoReel EVSE - Retractable Reel Electric Vehicle Charging Station - AC Level 2, 30 Amp, 30 Ft. Cable (EVoReel with EVoCharge EVSE) Surprised their...

Do I need to call LV to get a reasonable Tesla rate? just tried to get insurance for standard range plus and it came out at £960 per year 39 year old and 13 years no claims, 5k miles per year Seems a bit even for Manchester. Nissan Leaf was £430 last year. Anyone else in Manchester had a...

    M3 CCS Question

The only car that was really designed for the 43kw 3-phase AC charging over type 2 was the Zoe 1st Gen and the Zoe Q90 (both discontinued) they had a clever design which used the motor electronics rather than needing a separate onboard charger. The problem with this charger was that it was...
