    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Be happy. After this update my 2013 no long allows USB music at all. The car does not see any files on my USB drive.

    Complete Reset after Software Update

Echo with my 2013. After I updated (ver 2020.48.12.1 3095698c8a55) I lost my car's "name". However, my seating settings were preserved. However, I have completely lost my ability to play music on USB. When I saw this I removed the USB, re-formatted to FAT32, re-loaded my music. No change...

My Tesla Model S "Stalled" today

Tesla Model S, Signature Firmware v8.1 (2018.24.1 12dd099) While doing chores I visited the Post Office to deposit a letter. This branch had a drive-by, and due to my elite skills, I missed the post box and the letter dropped to the ground. I placed the car in Park, unbuckled my seat belt...

I have had my Model S Sig for almost four years, keep a flashdrive in the USB slot all the time, and this "bug" has never happened to me. I wonder what the variables are.

    Goodbye Sig #26

I have Sig141, and I agree. It's like Tesla choose the only design to make the car look worse. But I am also thinking about swapping to a newer model. I will never use Autopilot, but do like the auto-braking and parking assistance of the sensors.

Is a signature MS CPO vehicle worth it

I love my Sig red and the white leather interior. But if the colors are not important to you, I'd buy a newer version. Almost three years, 26,000 miles and not any mechanical issues. Some initial issues solved by software, like ChadS says above. I don't miss any of the "newer features", and...

Another "how quickly we forget" story

To the right of the "enter location" field is a blue icon that has three options (not official names): 1) Keep Map North, 2) Rotate Map with Car Facing, and 3) Show Entire Journey on Screen. The third option has no "default" zoom be definition. It will zoom in and out as needed to show the...

2 Different Cracked Rims in 5 months

I cracked my 21" passenger side front tire last month, after 23,000 miles / 2 1/2 years of ownership. I've already bought two sets of 21" tires. I will change to 19" wheels/tires in the near future, as these 21" low profiles things are just too expensive.

Top 10 tips for showing your model s in public

Genius. I'll leave the J1772 adapter in there, and display the UMC and other adapters on my all-wather trunk liner next to the car. Um, I've driven my Model S with the charge port open. Is that a recent software change?

Top 10 tips for showing your model s in public

I have a company picnic in a few weeks, and the theme is "Our Cars". So naturally I wll show off my Model S Sig Performance. But you identify my only real concern. I need the fob to show off the center screen, but don't want folks to drive away! We need some kind of "display mode".

Firmware 4.3 - basic charging scheduling

Upgraded to 4.3 (1.25.40) this morning, and saw the timer only has a start time. Really? My "low rate times" during the week are 00:01 - 07:00. Some days I flex my time and don't leave until after 8:30. I have the 85 KW batteries (240+ miles range), so if I start charging when the car is...

    FIrst time supercharge

Howdy, all. Today I went to Gilroy to top-off my Model S Sig for the first time using a supercharger. 1. The highest rate I got was ~75 miles of charge per hour. That seems low. 2. When I returned about 1.5 hours later, all four spots were full, and another Model S was waiting. This is the...

    Blue LED

Problem solved with a new Mobile Connector. I know plug it in, and within one second the car goes white/blue/green. Thanks everyone for your comments. PS: I unplug the MC from the wall when I'm not charging, just because I don't like "vampire loads". Any thoughts?

    Mobile Connector Woes

Thanks for the offer. After 10 minutes of jiggling I got my 14-50 to work, so I didn't want to do anything to stop the recharge. I already have a service visit scheduled, so I'll let them know and bring my MC with me.

    Mobile Connector Woes

I have never seen yellow. The LED usually stays white, even after it locks in. Sometimes I go away and come back to find the LED blue. I know the car sees something, as it won't let me put it into forward or reverse. And it detects the difference between the wall socket (12Amp) and my new...

    Mobile Connector Woes

Anyone else have this issue? Most nights it takes one-two minutes twisting the mobile connector (MC) within the charge port to get the car to recognize the connection and start recharging. Twice during the four weeks I've had my Model S I couldn't get it to work at all, and went a night...

    Blue LED

Strange. It was plugged-in for 10 hours, not a single volt/watt/amp/whatever put into the car, and the LED was blue when I unplugged before leaving the house. PS: the Model S blinks green when it is charging.

    Blue LED

Has anyone seen a blue LED on their charging port? Friday and Saturday evening I got no power thru my UMC via a wall outlet. But I charged for an hour Sunday on a J1772, and now both Sunday and Monday evening I got power from the wall with no problem. Spooky.

What charge rates are you observing?

I just tested my Model S at a free county J1772 airport charge point. I was getting 18 MR/H with 220V and 30A. Six times faster than my wall outlet. It's nice to know this free charging point is there, but I still want my NEMA 14-50 installed (scheduled for mid-Nov).

6'2", mostly in torso (30" inseam). I found it easier to enter/exit when I created an "exit" drive profile that moves the driving wheel all the way forward. I haven't driven more than 40 miles in a day yet, so I can't really say. The cars says "240 miles" every morning. I'm getting about 3 miles/hour charge from my wall socket (I don't get my NEMA 14-50 installed for a few weeks).

Picked up Sig #353 last Thursday at the Fremont factory. Initial reactions: - Previous complaints about a small back window are valid. But they make it up to you with large side mirrors. - Takes a bit to get used to how the door handles work. I'm used to mechanical latches. I still think...

    Model S Software/Firmware Updates

I set Homelink with ver 1.13.16, and it took a total 30 seconds. The car detected my opener remote in 2-seconds, and after setting the opener into "Learn" mode (which I never knew existed), the car set it in another 5 seconds. Works great, but I wish I could open/close the door with a single...
