Model X damaged in transit to delivery center. What should I do?

Pereiks, We just had our 2019 Model X delivered to our home today. My wife was in the driver's seat, I was in the front passenger seat, spending an hour going over settings, etc. Then, she noticed a large crack in the inside of the front windshield, up high, above the passenger. I looked...

I purchased a new 2018 S (June 2018 delivery) with rear facing seats, so it was an option last year.

    Alternatives to Tesla collision repairs?

Thanks, PWlakewood. I'm letting Metro Auto Rebuild do it, as my insurance carrier has a deal with them. They are Tesla certified. They said I will be getting the reinforced rear hatch. I am, however, interested in getting a replacement for my driver's side pearl white mirror. I hit a...

    Alternatives to Tesla collision repairs?

No airbags deployed. The photos I posted show all of the discernible external damage. There was no intrusion. I suspect that the hatch could be hammered out and the hinges re-adjusted, but I will let the certified shop overcharge the insurance company. Both vehicles were completely drivable...

    Alternatives to Tesla collision repairs?

Thanks, David. I realize that $300 is silly, but I have to admit that it was sweet to get my old beater minivan functioning again with such a minimal cost! My estimate from a Tesla certified repair shop is just about $10,000. I was concerned about hidden important structural damage. The...

    Alternatives to Tesla collision repairs?

Last week we were rear-ended in our 2018 S100D. Our vehicle is still drivable, but the rear hatch gaps on the passenger side (vehicle's right side), there is a dent in the bottom of the rear hatch, and the lower bumper has been damaged. I have read about the high costs of repairing aluminum...

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

Hello, Roger. I'm not sure if I'm just missing sarcasm here. In any event, Tesla is already offering the ability to set speeds above the posted limits, so the 'percentage above' option simply makes that a safer choice than an absolute number of mph above the limit

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

I have two requests: 1. Under 'Speed Limit' you have two options, relative and absolute. However, relative is a fixed amount. Say I set it at +7 mph, that's fine in a 70 mph zone, but excessive in a 30 mph zone and may be dangerous, or might get me a speeding ticket. They could offer a...
