Yup. I’m seeing this as well. I was waiting behind another car at a red light and my car moved left towards incoming traffic (probably to pass the other car). This happened at the same location when the car was in 10.5.1 too.

Not in my experience. Model 3 with 100 got it even though I have a Model S 2016.5 on the same account with 98 (which of course didn’t get it).

That’s really odd. Maybe follow up with the service manager to confirm they ordered the right part before this drags out even further.

Maybe the active noise cancelation feature will sway you once it’s enabled. ;)

In the app in “upgrades”, there is now a “manage upgrades” link on the bottom. Tapping on the link will take you to a new menu that lists all upgrades and allows you to manage your subscriptions.

I hope you find it. I vaguely recall someone posting that they used a magnet to fish it out. Someone else had a Tesla technician go on a ride with them and help them pinpoint the location. This was all in the Model 3 forum.

Is it possible that a screw or other item fell in the air duct under the front seat (accessible from the back of the seat)? This happened to a few Model 3 owners and the Model S has an air duct down there as well.

I had the same issue. I purchased my used Model S with FSD but the screen only showed Enhanced Autopilot. I didn’t complain about it but the technician changed it to FSD when I took the car in for service for an unrelated issue.

This happened to my mobile connector, too. I would also see charging errors notifications on the screen. Tesla ended up replacing the unit under warranty.

I had this happen to me three times. (Model 3 FSD Upgrade, Model S FSD Upgrade, Model S daughterboard replacement). Unfortunately, they made me come in each time and in one case even changed a ranger appointment to a SC visit.

Just take a picture or video of the screen whenever it fails (scrambled graphics, unresponsiveness, rebooting, etc). That way, you’ll be able to document any failure without much effort in your camera roll as long as you’re not driving. I included a couple of pictures with the service request...

It works absolutely fine with mine but only after the Tegra daughter board replacement. Prior to that it was quite bad but not necessarily worse than before I got the FSD computer installed. Once the daughter board was replaced, my MCU 1 became much more responsive and no more sudden reboots...

By pricing it that high, the goal is probably to push owners to the subscription model that Elon wrote about. Even if the fee is $100-200/month (or “discounted” to $1,000-$1,500/yr), it could end up being more palpable for a larger group (especially those who lease the car).

I thought that MCU2 upgrade included the HW3 upgrade a matter of necessity? Has that changed? There are many posts in this forum where people reported receiving the HW3 upgrade together with the MCU2 upgrade (even though they did not purchase FSD).

No to auto park and no simple summon. If your car has HW3, you will get traffic light and stop sign visualization on the screen but the car won’t react in any way.

FSD is linked to the car and should transfer in a private sale. Tesla removed FSD from cars in the past if it found that FSD was enabled by mistake. There was a big software audit earlier this year that took away FSD from a bunch of people who had had it enabled at delivery.

I believe that “traffic lights and stop sign control” is a FSD feature that is not part of enhanced autopilot. The fact that the car has the setting suggests that it has FSD but perhaps someone with enhanced autopilot can confirm?
