    Supercharger - West Lebanon NH

Under normal circumstances Vermont is in pretty good shape Supercharger wise. Yes it would be nice to have a couple more Superchargers along 89 and they certainly should upgrade Berlin to V3 but you can get anywhere in the state pretty easily. The eclipse was a once in 90 years event. We go to...

How bad do you think Superchargers in NH & VT will be on the day of the eclipse (4/8/24)?

I tried the EV Connection charger at the Chevy dealer in Montpelier, it didn't work, communication error. I would have saved myself several if CCS wasn't such a mess.

    Supercharger - Berlin, VT

We left at 8:30, by then the line was twice as long as when we got there at 5, the line reached out in to the street all the way to the intersection.

How bad do you think Superchargers in NH & VT will be on the day of the eclipse (4/8/24)?

It was unimaginably bad. I charged to 100% before leaving which turned out to have been a wise decision because it allowed us to get to our destination in Montpelier without charging in West Lebanon or Berlin. On the way home we waited 3.5 hours at the Berlin Supercharger which could have been...

    Supercharger - Rockland, ME

I charged at Rockland today. Only 4 of the 8 chargers were working. The V4s are a downgrade for Tesla owners, the cables are much heavier and they require a hard tug to get out of the posts unlike the gentle pull required for V3 cables.

    Supercharger - Rockland, ME

Plugshare shows a couple of CCS chargers that are under construction, the only working ones close to Freeport which has a Supercharger. Also those chargers are pretty much useless, 62.5KW. I just got the chargeport upgrade for my Model 3 on the theory that it would allow me to go some places, I...

    Supercharger - Rockland, ME

What's happening at Rockland? In the app it's offline, yesterday it was offline for a while and then went back on line. It's also not in Tesla's navigation system. I'm planning on going to Camden on Saturday, was counting on using Rockland but if it's not up I'll have to do a deep charge in...

    Supercharger - Vergennes, VT

There are two Superchargers near Burlington and another in St Johnsbury, both of which are in the path of the eclipse. I'm going up to East Montpelier which is at the edge, I have a friend who has a farm there. The Berlin Supercharger is next to Montpelier.

    Supercharger - Rockland, ME

By cabinet I mean the big back end boxes that contain the transformers and power electronics, not the charging posts. The V4 charging posts are taller and have long cables but that doesn't make the installation fully V4. The back end cabinets will list the max voltage, if it's 500V then they are...

    Supercharger - Rockland, ME

The 150 rule is to allow CCS chargers to add Tesla plugs. V3 chargers can do 250KW to all of the cars connected to the cabinet. CCS chargers can only do 150 at 400V, they were designed for higher voltage and lower current than Superchargers. When CCS chargers get Tesla connectors, or when the...

They are both still V2s. The downtime must have been because of a failure not an upgrade.

    I see 0 of 8. It's not live yet.

How bad do you think Superchargers in NH & VT will be on the day of the eclipse (4/8/24)?

It looks like St Johnsbury is in the path of the eclipse, there is a Supercharger there. What are you using for eclipse glasses. I just bought a set off of Amazon, they claim to be ISO 12312-2:2015(E) but they are worryingly cheap. Also will phone camera's work or id there a filter for those also.

Supercharger - Kennebunk, ME (I-95 NB and SB service plazas)

Hopefully they are upgrading it from V2 to V3 or V4. Now that they've opened up the Supercharger network to non-Teslas they need to get rid of the V2s especially at locations as important as Kennebunk. V2s will create confusion when CCS drivers find out their adapters don't work.

    New Hampshire NEVI awards announced

Unless they are Superchargers they won't work with older Tesla's. NACS uses the CCS authentication protocol which is Ethernet over Power, the standard Tesla bus uses the CAN bus. Tesla isn't offering a charge port upgrade for Model 3s. The promised one a couple of years ago but it never...

    FSD Beta on HW4

    HW4 cars with FSD Beta?

Is FSD Beta available on HW4 cars yet? I'm thinking about trading in my 2019 M3 with FSD for a 2024 Model S while Tesla is still offering to transfer FSD. What's the status of HW4 FSD. Can the car do summon yet, how is the parking without ultra sound sensors?

Mass: ChargeSmart/National Grid Customers - Issues linking Tesla to ChargeSmart?

How would they know the charger is consuming the electricity? Chargers are dumb devices, they don't have any means of communicating with NationalGrid. They get the info from the car which is already connected to the Internet. Tesla tracks your car's charging which they helpfully provide to you...

Mass: ChargeSmart/National Grid Customers - Issues linking Tesla to ChargeSmart?

NationalGrid already knows where you live, what's the big deal. They have to have the car's location because that's how they know it's charging at your house. The discount is on your home electricity bill ergo they need to know how much power the car is drawing from your house.

    Supercharger Voting 2024Q1

I suggested two other locations on Cape Breton, Dingwall and Louisbourge, those are the two tips of Cape Breton, if they were to put Superchargers in those two places then Cape Breton would be completely accessible. The Newfoundland locations would be good also, worth your votes.

    State Inspection in MA

Just to elaborate. That's the reasoning behind the law but no matter what it is, the law is the law. MA requires inspections on new cars which is silly, Rhode Island gives you a two year or 24,000 mile grace period which makes more sense but the fact remains that in MA you have to drive your car...

ChargeSmartMA App/National Grid - rebate as long as you’re in MA??

One thing to take into account, off peak is weekdays only. I do all of my driving on the weekend so it wasn't benefiting from it. I've been turning my charge level down to 50% when I get home from a Saturday drive and then set it back up to 75% during the week.

Maine resident can't take delivery in Mass??

Read the thread about New Hampshire, it applies to you also. The problem is the tax laws in Massachusetts, you have to pay sales tax even if you don't live in MA. Eversource Massachusetts Demand response/Connected solutions for Tesla?

If you are calling in an electrician have him run a 60A line and hard wire the EVSE in instead of using a plug. A 60A line will let you get the full 48A that the Tesla Wall Connector can provide. Hardwiring is required for a 60A but it's a good idea for any EVSE connection, it's safer than a...
