Not seeing all addresses in dialer app

It is now 2022 and this issue is still not addressed. My contacts typically have both Home and Work but only one (which one?) is showing up. This makes navigating to someone's Home or Work requiring manual entry.

    VisibleTesla

I am having the same problem with a 4K display. Font scaling in Advanced doesn't seem to have any effect. And it only goes does to 70%. Where is this variable kept? I couldn't see any prefs file; I thought I could try editing there. No luck.

California: Car wash in Los Altos / Palo Alto / Mountain View

I've had my P85 washed regularly at the OFJCC (corner of San Antonio and Charleston.) They hand wash the car, and there are several other Model S owners who have them work on their cars. They know details like putting the console into "screen cleaning mode", etc. I work out in the gym or have a...

Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

The top most, e.g. current navigation route step (on the center console) shows a "count down meter" once you are within 400 feet of the upcoming intersection. Prior to 400 feet, there is no indicator. At 400 feet, something looking like a right hand scroll bar appears. Is this fairly recent, or...

    VisibleTesla

Confirming my suspicion, above. Just got my car back, with the in-car bit flipped to indicate I have the carbon fiber spoiler installed. FW# is 1.35.102. Checked with V0.17c. Now it correctly shows the spoiler on the graphic displays. Hurray!

    VisibleTesla

Looks to me like there is a possible inconsistency in the visual display of the car which is, in principle, unavoidable. I was checking out the presence of the spoiler element using VT when I discovered that my Tesla (Android) app indeed correctly displays the spoiler. But my actual in car...

    VisibleTesla

I tried V0.16 w my Mod S with spoiler. It does **not** display, whereas the Android Tesla app does display it.

Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

I'd like to hear more about this from Tesla Engineering. When stopped at the crest of a steep San Francisco hill, waiting on a red light, since the car has no "hill hold" feature, I find using the go-pedal to hold the car rather more practical than holding with the brake, and then jumping to the...

Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

You can also simply "bop" the rearmost portion of the door (where it hinges) and pop the magnetic latch ajar mechanically.

    Model S REST API

Thanks to a bit of curl and a jot of cron, I woke up this morning to a nice, toasty Model S, despite the 34 degree outside air temperature. Thanks to everyone for guidance and info in making this possible, esp. aviators99.

My Outdoor 240V Charging Outlet (photos attached)

The suggested orientation was definitely a strong contender; but that requires two bends in the conduit. One plus with the chosen orientation is that the only openings to the waterproofing are on the bottom surface, since rain generally comes from above.....

My Outdoor 240V Charging Outlet (photos attached)

It was installed by a licensed and experienced electrician. These are all good observations. Esthetic tradeoffs prevail...just ask my wife!

My Outdoor 240V Charging Outlet (photos attached)

I needed to add an outdoor charging point for my Model S. The NEMA 14-50 socket is connected to the mains via conduit which enters from the bottom of the waterproof box. The Tesla charging cable exits through a slot cut in the the plastic. The slot (and box) is large enough for me to stow the...

Nav System: SW is a 0.6 Product

Say you enter the name of a restaurant in the Nav search. (The results might be supplied by Google, but it really doesn't matter.) Assuming the restaurant is found, search returns with both the address and phone number. You can click on the address and it is entered as the navigation...

Software requests for the Model S

I'd like to see a "(Super)charger" app (or part of the Nav system) that located the nearest (super)charging locations and also reported the status of each of their "pumps".

Nav System: SW is a 0.6 Product

My newly minted Model S has Firmware level 1.15.8. These comments refer solely to the center console app, not the HUD. After several days of driving, I would describe the Nav SW as “barely functional” and quite far from where it needs to be. And that’s not likely to change overnight. Can...
