Great question. I am thinking that I would have problems with Tesla Roadside service as their spare wheel/tire might be a problem given there is no spare for the car. I am likely overthinking things :). Getting the performance brakes and better suspension is nice and I likely avoid warranty...

I think they don't offer it because they will need to accrue warranty reserves on their books and Wall Street might not like this. I am sure at some point, they will add it, but by waiting they get a better understanding for repair history.

Is this still the case that the 19 inch OEM wheels are not compatible with Model 3 Performance brakes?

I am trying to understand if there are real differences in M3 AWD and M3 Performance AWD suspension besides being about 1/2 inch lower. Tesla can't give me a clear answer. Ideally, I would like to buy the performance package (if there are goodies with the performance suspension), but sell/swap...

Wondering. I did a full range charge. First one in a long time. Rated range was 256. I have 17k miles and I got the car in Dec 2012. So, what does this tell me? How much has my battery degraded? Any guesses? Latest SW. Thanks.

Hmmm. Maybe. There is a crossover where someone buying a used Tesla will be willing to walk away from the tax break for a new S purchase. While, buying a new car means eating the sales tax.

Parking sensor retrofit quote I am sitting on the quote in hand. It came out to be about $7447.49. The paint work alone was $2500 for front and rear bumpers. I really would like to see TM come out with a more aggressive program... even if it is after market supported.

My two cents. Get the bigger battery. We really don't know how well the battery will hold up with time and resale value will be very connected to the battery. For me, the novelty for moon-roofs fades rather quickly. I would pinch that option.

Wondering why TM can't be more open on battery balancing (how and when it works). People on the forum do all kinds of things to enhance balancing including 120v charging, etc.

After my 10K miles, I believe I am seeing clear degradation. Nothing that rocks my world. I can tell by when I do a max/range charge. A co-worker of mine had his battery replaced after 12K miles due to a problem. He is now getting rated miles associated with new cars. Is this hard evidence...

We also expend too much energy talking/speculating about battery degradation. TM should be more transparent. BTW, Nissan does the name thing with the Leaf.

What are your thoughts on the charging limit "slider?" I have an 85 model and usually do 50-60 miles per day. I usually set the slider to about 185 mile limit. Am I really helping my pack by not going to 93 percent level (about 232 miles). I am running .61 sw.

I am hoping, based on the roadster track record, that they will offer a retrofit option. BTW, the service mgr at Menlo was recommending a couple of after market shops that are currently doing installs. I personally, would like to go OEM even for more dollars.

Wondering... when does the S balance the batteries if you only do a "standard" charge and go with 40AMPs? Big mystery :)

I got 263 on max charge this morning (with the timer)... 4.5 .54 release. This is my first max charge in many moons. Standard stopped at 232. So, a couple of miles degradation at 8K miles or not necessarily?

IMHO... one method to help solve certain situations is to start charging ($) people when the car "stops" charging. Maybe there is a grace period of 15 minutes, etc.

thank you! My decrease seems to be associated with 4.4 sw... or it is in my head :). I am going to turn off the charge timer to see if this makes a difference.

After 6K miles, I am showing 274/238. Charge was completed about two hours before completion of a "standard" charge.
