I wonder if this is simply a tactic for slowing down or delaying orders. Tesla has very lengthy backlogs and may see this as a better option than not accepting orders at all for certain models.

There were some pretty awesome airshow rehearsal flights happening above Tesla Chesterfield today. I have the opposite situation. Was supposed to get my car Monday, but it arrived today. Pickup is now tomorrow at 3pm.

I'm fairly certain that the "premium" reflector headlights are North American spec and only show up on cars manufactured in Fremont.

Lol, I'm afraid to ask about the headlights. The reflector ones have been fine on my 2019 M3, but part of why I ordered this car was to get all of the new and improved stuff. Fingers crossed!

Aero wheels have been standard for LR models in the US since they first went on sale. However, Tesla encourages people to buy the 19s by having that option pre-selected in the configurator.

Updated to a 2-week window this morning! Ordered 3/7 and latest EDD is June 6 - June 20. Will decide whether to trade-in or sell my current Model 3 once I have a VIN.

Reserved my first Model 3 before the design was revealed and took delivery of it in early 2019. Only saw one up close for a few minutes in the interim. No regrets.

Sorry, looks like you have the older "Premium" headlights. They are still all-LED though and have a good safety rating.

Tesla always burns through existing inventory at the end of a quarter, so there are basically no listings on there at the moment.

We are under a municipal electric aggregation plan that has the rate locked at $0.0439/kwh for a couple of years. So, my average "fuel" costs lately have been about $6/month. Cheap power easily offsets the extra $100/year that Illinois charges for EV registration/renewal.

Yeah, that 48 amp setting has to be a bug. A circuit with a 50 amp breaker can handle brief peaks at max rated load. However, for a continuous draw, tripping at over 80% of maximum (40 amps) is not unusual. Wire gauge can affect max load handling, too.

Got a new EDD today for my 3/7 order: May 17 - June 28. It's a small improvement, but I'll take it!
