From what i have read, the car isn't going to land on mars. just sit in mars orbit forever. And i don't think he would launch it with the battery just in case the rocket blows up. Probably don't want cells raining down while they explode either.

Correct me if im wrong but the current annual service is $600 correct? do you think it will be the same for the model 3 or will they bring the cost down a little for us that cant afford the S and are buying the 3?

It looks like the white tape they put on the new cars when they are traveling, I've seen Tesla's with this stuff on them and on the side mirrors.
