Elon fires the head of SuperChargers and much (all?) of the SuperCharger team - how will this affect new SCs?

I drive up and down California monthly. Superchargers are always empty, except on Sunday afternoons. 🤷‍♂️

    Yoke peeling

    Yep, I have FSD.

Used Plaid market... Are 2021 Model to avoid ?

I have a September 2021 Tesla Model S Long Range (not Plaid, just the peasant model). No real issues. I'm super OCD and a perfectionist so I do have Tesla fix random QA issues on the car; I don't think it's really specific to a 2021 model. I have 39K miles on it now. I don't track it but I...

    Peeling yoke replacement

Very plausible. I assume it's hand/handling wear. I did notice the wood trim on my driver side door is starting to "pop up" (like it's not smooth) from sun damage. I'm also using nice ceramic tint, including the lightest ceramic tint on front windshield. During Spring/Summer/Fall months, I...

    Supercharger - Firebaugh, CA (I-5 / West Panoche Rd, LIVE 13 Nov 2020, 56 V3 stalls)

Too bad Firebaugh is my typical northbound (LA to SJ) Supercharger. I roll in with like 15% of charge. There's closeby bathrooms, snacks, and McDonalds.

    Peeling yoke replacement

I'm super gentle with stuff and take care of things well. Sept 2021 Model S. It started peeling Summer 2023. For me, it was only peeling at the very tip of the yoke. I'm sure most people treat their yoke harder than I do. I guess don't be gentle with your yoke and it should peel eventually? LOL

    Supercharger - Firebaugh, CA (I-5 / West Panoche Rd, LIVE 13 Nov 2020, 56 V3 stalls)

From March 13th. You can see the caution tape and the "dark" chargers.

    Yoke peeling

Horn is slighty elevated as it's a mechanical horn. There's new stiching. Cushion/comfort feels the same. The former horn button is now the camera button; no complaints as I frequently use the camera button. Now... I have to un-remember my muscle memory of looking for the haptic horn button...

    Yoke peeling

I efing hate palming the right side. I turn on cruise control, do the weird staccato horn, and turns on my wipers.

    Yoke peeling

I'm in SF Bay Area. I just picked up my car from the Sunnyvale Service Center and got my mechanical yoke replaced. Scheduled it last week, they said the parts were available, and painlessly installed it in the same day (today). Buttons feel the same to me but I've only driven a few miles.

    Peeling yoke replacement

I'm in the SF Bay Area with a 2021 Model S Long Range. I just got my yoke replaced with the mechanical horn. :D

    Supercharger - Firebaugh, CA (I-5 / West Panoche Rd, LIVE 13 Nov 2020, 56 V3 stalls)

Yep. Going southbound, I stopped by (didn't need to charge) because I needed to pee. I noticed the working chargers were lit up; broken ones were dark and haphazardly caution taped off. Going northbound, I stopped (Firebaugh is my usual charging spot) and charged at one of the lit up working...

    Supercharger - Firebaugh, CA (I-5 / West Panoche Rd, LIVE 13 Nov 2020, 56 V3 stalls)

It's been closed/degrade since at least early February; I passed through in early Feburary. There was Cybertruck review video where they "accidentally" went to Firebaugh and couldn't get charged; that was January.

Supercharger - Lost Hills, CA - Highway 46E (permit applied)

I drove through here and noticed it was opened. I didn't stop though.

    Supercharger - Firebaugh, CA (I-5 / West Panoche Rd, LIVE 13 Nov 2020, 56 V3 stalls)

BTW, Firebaugh has been "down/closed/degraded" for couple months. It still works. I've charged at one of the 24 available chargers. Anyone know what's going on?
