Trailer towing on 2022 Model 3 LR

I have a 2019 M3P and have a Stealth Hitch on it. It works well and would buy another one. You can see the ball in your back up camera which makes it easy to hook up your trailer. I had it installed at a Stealth Hitch dealer since I had no interest in trying to run the wiring for the trailer...

New fast chargers will be installed throughout Montana

If they are like the ones being installed in North Carolina expect no faster than 62.5kw and no more than 2 per location. Some will only be 50kw and one per location.

Holiday Update (2021.44.25.2)- A Big Disappointment

The main thing I learned from this update is never, ever, ever download an update right before you go on a long road trip. You will loose your mind trying to figure everything out while driving in the dark, with limited visibility. I saw the notice of the update and thought it would be typical...

Holiday Update (2021.44.25.2)- A Big Disappointment

I think the locations of superchargers is also gone with this new update. Used to be able to tap the right side of the map and the icon would show there.

    Are Superchargers on I95 busy?

I have traveled on I-95 many times in my M3 and yes, expect them to be busy.

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Got my CCS adapter yesterday and looked at making sure the firmware was up to date. Have never seen a more complex process for updating a device. When you plug the device into your computer it isn't recognized and the processes to update are blocked by your web browser as being risky behavior...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

I have an Energica Ribelle and it will charge at 24kw on CCS with a 21.5kwh battery. The EVA 107 I had before that had a 13.5 kwh battery and it also charged at 24kw.

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

FMinMI, I live in eastern NC and there are a lot of Greenlots DCFC in NC, VA, and northern GA that have basically been abandoned and haven't worked in well over a year. Officially they claim they operate on the 3G cell network which was supposed to be shut down. Rather than upgrade or replace...

Blog Harley-Davidson Launching LiveWire EV Brand

L2 charging on the LiveWire is the same speed as L1 so CCS charging is definitely needed. I currently own an Energica Ribelle and had a Zero SR before that. With aftermarket chargers on the Zero it took two hours to fully charge at 6.3kw. The Ribelle is less than half that with CCS. Would not...

    Oklahoma City to Little Rock

I live south of Raleigh, NC and put the address of a friend in OKC in my M3. My M3 has me going up to I64 west and then down I44 to OKC instead of taking I40. This adds a few hundred miles and many hours to the trip. At this point there has to be a very interesting story behind why Tesla is...

Bike rack and back up sensors

Another vote here for the stealth hitch. Have used it for light utility trailer towing and a hitch cargo carrier. Works well and it is completely hidden until you install the hitch to connect something to it.

CCS1 to Tesla Adapter is being developed by Tesla Korea Club.

I think an adapter to charge from a CCS charger would sell a lot better than the current CHAdeMO adapter. Yes the supercharger network is great. But it is also great to have options for charging and a CCS adapter could allow the same charging speeds as the supercharger network. I would buy one...

    Cargo Space vs Model S?

I have a friend who was thinking about either a Model 3 or a Model Y. She needs to be able to carry a dog cage, approximate size being 36 inches long, 26 inches high and 24 inches wide. I have measured my Model 3 and the 26 inch height is the problem. Anyone know if it would fit in a Model Y...
